DRs, thank you all for the vibes and wishes! Now that the appointment has been settled, I am quite chipper, if still a bit nauseous, and looking forward to spending time with our DR Ben, my left-wing associate in 60s politics.

I've made a tentatvie date with Matthew for Sunday, and tomorrow we'll settle on a movie and have a nice dinner after to celebrate his birthday which was last week.

Hello, m'dears! I just got released from the jury pool, and am in downtown Monroe, WA - at the library where they have wondrous high speed wireless internet!!! Taking advantage of the opportunity to say howdy.

I haven't heard from Jane and Keith since she called to tell me the sad news - anyone heard from them? The funeral is this afternoon. I'll talk to them tonight at Millie's sister's house. My mom was great friends with Millie's other sister, Eleanor, who died 4 years ago, and with Roberta - the last of the sisters... very sad times, indeed...

On a happier note - high e-flat, of course - it has stopped raining, which makes me feel a whole lot better.

Pity it's not a good movie. . .even Michael Haboush is wasted in a five minute scene near the end. . .should you make it that far. . .

Anyway, it's great to see you here. Thanks for transmitting the info about Millie. As I told our niece after my mother-in-law's funeral last year, we're (my husband, his brothers, their wives, and myself) the elders now. How'd that happen?

Well...I don't actually "watch" them all the way through. I ususally just fast-forward through them until I get to scenes with people who are nice to look at.

I made the trek out to my old favorite nursery. Not really that far in miles, but traffic can be pretty heavy. I lucked out all the way around today--light traffic, plus the nursery had a good selection of healthy-looking plants. AND, a pleasant and knowledgable salesperson! Yay! It is SUCH a pleasure to find well-informed help.

Meanwhile, My air conditioner went out last night, so I'm wearing underwear and ice packs ( n new fashion stement) until the repairman shows up in a couple of hours. Depending on the repairman, I may keep that outfit on!

For those with 5 minutes to spare, and nothing else to do, please to enjoy a short film that Greg and I did WITH some of our friends years ago. Our CLOSER on-line editor is in it (he's the guy who holds the gun upside down) and decided to post it today.

TNT used to have these Xmas parties and everyone would make short films on a certain theme. The theme this year was "numbers".

In my infinite wisdom and experience, i have found it better when eating fresh Bing (no relation to Crosby that I know of) to eat the cherry and spit out the pit (rather than the other way around).
