The only three songs from the above that never had a commercial release was the first and the last two. I finally heard the song Strange Are the Ways Of Love (Which BTW had no connection with the song with the same name from The Young Land that was nominated in 1959) The song played over the closing titles and last 90 seconds.

Unlike the studios that would hire him for his set fee to write a song for their pictures, independent producers would occasionally come to Paul Francis Webster and ask if he had an original song "in his drawer" that they could buy for their film.

That was the case with both "Strange Are the Ways of Love" and "A World That Never Was".  They were songs that he'd done on spec that were just laying around, waiting to be adopted.

Earlier today (after I came home from working concessions at the theater), I dusted off the TV in my bedroom, unplugged the power cord, disconnected all the wires from the back and very, very, very (that's three verys) carefully slid it down my two flights of (fortunately, carpetted) stairs. :)

Margo's daughter Lian (pronounced "LEE-in"...it was her original Chinese name when Margo adopted her) has a Nintendo wii but they all have to share one TV and swapping cables is a hassle.

Since Lian has her own room (and they don't have cable), Margo said that she could buy her own TV.  At first, Margo was thinking of a small TV, because even though Lian has a job (she's only 12 years old), it's only two hours a week and she doesn't make much money.

I said that I have two 27-inch TVs and need to get rid of one.  Would Lian want to buy that?  She would!  So we agreed on a price and Lian can pay me over two months.

And now, Lian will have a new (to her) TV (and it's in very good condition) and I'll be able to get rid of this TV without any trouble...other than it's freakin' heavy and I had to slide it down two flights of stairs without 1...breaking my back, 2...breaking the TV and 3...letting go of it and having it crash into a wall.

Fortunately, I got it downstairs in one piece. ;D
