I am hoping that I can do an early check in at the hotel. Even if they don't usually do it, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. A nap would be good before class tonight

Do you have a case of the hiccups?

Good morning!

Still cool and overcast, but not noticeably cool, and I can already tell it's warming up. We're supposed to get more rain today. We'll see. We got about 1 1/2 inches yesterday.

After I finished reading the newspaper this morning, I sat down and watched LA RONDE. Since it's just a bit over 90 minutes, I knew I could get it watched and use the afternoon for viewing the bonus features. There is also a commentary by Susan White that I'll sample.

For all its lightness, I found LA RONDE incredibly sad underneath, almost sour over the fleetingness of love. Marvelous cast. I especially loved the segments that featured Daniel Gélin as young Alfred and Danielle Darrieux as the married lady.

BB10.....

I to was happy with last nights results. My wish is for Dan to win. I think he is one of the best contestants ever in this show. He really had done a great job. And the fact that he seems like a pretty nice chap, makes me even happier.

As for the Friday Media Check...

Hmm... The only "new" music that comes to mind is...

iPhone/iPod/iTunes: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

*You can still find some of the episodes and song clips (for free) on YouTube too.

So, I believe my current plan for the day is to take care of my laundry now - my bed linens are already in the dryer - then take care of the vacuuming and dusting this afternoon.  And then maybe a trip to grocery store to stock up on some nephew-friendly food.  :)

I'm back from my walk down to 54th Street. On the way I ran into Seth Rudetsky, who's always fun to talk to, at 72nd Street and Broadway. On my way back from MTI with the score, I had the weirdest bus ride. I sat down nest to this older man wearing a yamulke who gave me the third degree: where was I from? was I Jewish? where was the temple in my hometown? was it a large congregation? He was weird but friendly until he was getting off the bus, when he became loudly vocal about violence in Israel. He said he owned an office supplies shop in Brooklyn and he gave me a pen.

Good morning, all! Well, I was wrong about my eyes; the last month's situation has crewed them up and I'm very happy I'm seeign the ophthalmologist on Monday afternoon. Using my bifocals, I'm currently seeing better far distance through my reading lens and everything in my long distance lenses is a blur. I'm not happy at all about this, especially now that my blood sugar levels are running between 85 and 130, depending on the time of day, and I was told that they would revert to normal once the blood levels were in better shape. I'll be curious to hear what the ophthalmologist tels me.

In 15 minutes I will walk down to Music Theatre International on 54th Street and pick up the ready materials for THE MOST HAPPY FELLA; hopefully, today I'll get the band parts from their Long Island warehouse as well.

DR elmore - It will still take a bit more time for your eyes to "even out".  In the meantime, just make sure you have adequate lighting in your work areas, and you should probably give your eyes a break every now and then, and not use your glasses.  Your eyes could still be "shrinking" back to what they were after having all that extra fluid in them for a while.

I'm also wondering if it's possible that your current prescription was affected by your un-diagnosed diabetes over the past couple of years.  You could just need a new prescription.  Maybe your uncorrected vision is better than it was.  -Or something like that. ;)

I doubt it, but Seth is a hoot and he always makes me laugh. I love his novel BROADWAY NIGHTS, which is quite funny.

DR Cilla, so glad Boo wanted back in the house.  Have a great trip!

In honor of your trip to Bethesda, today I’m doing one of the major tests they routinely did during my visits to the NIH.  I figured it was about time I did it & I’m sure everything will be fine.

Oh, I suppose I'm up.  Very overcast outside.  Yesterday, it did not burn off until about ten-thirty, when I was halfway through my jog.

I find that if I wish for something three times, loudly and strongly, it's more likely to come true.  Maybe that's why Cilla made her wish known three times?

It's been a more-than-usually busy tax week, prior to the Sept. 15 corporate deadline.  Much to catch up on here at HHW.

So I'm sorry if I've been unaware of some things that have been posted the last several days.
