Our MD wrote Donna several times, but I think she's out here getting ready to do a play at the El Portal with Carol Lawrence, so I don't think it will work out.

We want someone who is the right age, shall we say.  We've actually got the Baayork gal - I'm trying to find out who did Donna's part at Encores.

Brad Pitt donates $100,00 to support same-sex marriage in California.

I'm not a fan but I think this is very nice.

The dancer, whose name I cannot think of, who would be perfect for "Turkey Lurkey" time is Marc Kudish's girl friend.  Anyone?  Jose?  Larry?

Note to Jane:

This evening's episode of BONES has as, a major plot element, professional dog-fighting; if you're feeling sensitive, try another show.

Just came back from my niece's birthday dinner. She was announcing to everyone "birthday girl".

The waiter however got on my last nerve. He just wasn't paying attention. And when you'd try to flag him down he was nowhere to be found. I asked him something simple like if he could light the candle. And it took him like 10 minutes. He was doing all kinds of stupid things (cleaning off tables that were not needed by others). And it turns out he had the lighter in his pocket and it would have taken 2 seconds.

My niece was saying, "where's the light?"

I had gone there to make the reservation since i was passing by the other day (to the same guy). ANd i mentioned the birthday thing. But i didn't know we were brining a cake and he didn't mention there was a charge to bring one. Luckily his boss waived the fee since it never occured to me there would be a charge (we were 11 people so it would have added up). This is not a fancy place who is trying to act like a fancy place.

I had ravioli with rosee sauce (which was on their menu online but not at the restaurant). although apparently they serve it. Then why not put it on the menu? :) I had really been looking forward to it for days.

I guess McCain would not say if he was incompable of using the computer due to injuries. But i must say that I find it crazy that someone could be president and not know how to use the computer or the internet. The point is a good one. Because it does not make him seem like he is at all current.

That is very sweet of you to warn us.  Keith said we will pass on it and we both thank you.  Did you turn it off?

It doesn't bother me.  It is just a technical thing & doesn't mean he isn't well informed.

Somehow I ended up volunteering to bring the Vixter and 3 of her friends to see RENT (only in theatres!) on 9/28

I tried valiently to wriggle out of it by insisting that all the other parents were aware of the adult content and language ...

oh well...

That is so cute.

It always bothered me when server's didn't take a few extra minutes to help make sure the children were taken care of.  It isn't easy for young ones to be patient & it usually doesn't take much to make them happy, at least not with good children who know how to behave.  Fortunately I found on the whole servers understood this.
