Red cargo shorts, white socks, "Joseph/Dreamcoat" t-shirt!  And this is by coincidence my rehearsal costume!

Welcome eleven GUESTS!  We are havin' a partay.  Just think how much faster we'd have gotten to 50,000 if all the GUESTS had come out of the woodwork (no mean feat) and joined us.

Panni, do try keeping up and reading ALL of the posts.

My post was actually 49,999 because I assumed someone would get one in before I posted.

Well - 50,000 posts.  Soon I feel we will be the most popular site on all the Internet.   And why?  Because we are cool, man, cool, we are the ginchiest, we are a happening thing, we weather the storm, we, we are family, we are gear and fab and we are mods and rockers.

It only takes a moment to miss the moment.  One must never miss the moment.  Welcome fourteen GUESTS!  We are eating ham chunks and cheese slices, we are wearing our point party hats and our colored tights and pantaloons, we are dancing the Hora and the Swim - are you?  Can you say the same?  If not, get on those pointy party hats and colored tights and pantaloons before we bitch-slap you from here to eternity and hell and back.

My partay outfit is pictured in the photo on the previous page. (Which I was taking care of when I missed the fershluganah moment.) I am adding pantaloons and a party hat.

Congratulations, bk! Congratulations everyone!

JRand53, I have been reading that Kiss of King Kong book...I am not finding it boring or anything, but it does seem like the author is putting in way too many of his own strange fetishes into the book and some of it is disturbing me.

I didn't know that we were expecting a par-tay!  I would have dressed for the occasion!  :-\  I am wearing blue pajama pants with Uncle Sam on them (What he's doing on my pants is beyond me) and a pink tank top, and I am not feeling particularly festive for this par-tay.  Where did BK go with the ham chunks and cheese slices?

TOD2: Among the many strange things I did that the other kids didn't understand / picked on me for, I used to read the New York Times during recess.  I also decorated my cubby (elementary school version of a locker) with playbills from various shows.  I also wrote the lyrics to "La Vie Boheme" of all songs on my arm during fourth grade gym class (I got in big trouble for that one.  I didn't know what any of those words meant!).  I also directed an elementary school production of "A Chorus Line" when I was nine.

Jenny, nice to see you at the partay! Hope the pj's so early in the evening don't mean you're sick.
All of the childhood things you describe sound normal to me. That's how ALL children should behave.
