I just got the Caroline, or Change CD.  I'm listening to it right now!  I usually like to listen to something at least three times before I make a definitive judgment, but so far (I just started track 4), I'm interested.

Hey, not so fast. I haven't weighed in on my thoughts about SIX FEET UNDER. I liked the show. I thought David had a couple of places where he not only did the wrong thing (I'm talking after he got into the mess he was in), but the stupid thing that I think even under extreme duress he could have acted upon. Can't be more specific, but I was shouting at the TV. I geuss that means I got REALLY caught up in the events of the episode. And, as I've been saying, my heart SO goes out to Nate that his storyline is ALWAYS interesting to me.

I've never had a broken arm, but I've sure thrown my back out, and I know how ghastly that can be. Can't move in the bed because the pain is so intense it wakes you up; can't do any of the normal day-to-day activities like breathing without it killing you. So, great commiseration for DRs RLP and Elmore on their ailments.

O Joy! O rapture!  Had me some credit to use up at my local DVD place, and I got me my Showgirls box set (not due out for a few weeks, I think).  Showgirls is truly one of the worst movies in the history of the cinema but I want it as a lesson in bad everything.  Also, the box, which is limited, includes your Showgirls shot glasses, Showgirls playing cards, a tutorial on lap dancing, a pin the pasties on the Showgirl game, including the pasties, and ever so much more.

Whatcha gonna do with dem pasties, mister????

DR Jane:  re: litter box...I dunno.  Jury-rigged the bag I needed to scoop into...used my body to stabilize box (after having put it on a countertop in the bathroom)...pulled and tugged and pushed.  I got it done.  Not without spills and one-handed cleanup after.

Yesterday, I had an overwhelming urge to clean my refrigerator.  I did one heck of a super cleaning but have only vague impressions of actually doing it.

I'm surprisingly "sudden" when a thing pops into my head.  I think it's the Vicodin!

This morning at 6:30, I had my bed stripped and sheets in the washer.  Made up the bed, too.  I'm stunned, but I dont feel helpless one bit!

DR Jane:  re: litter box...I dunno.  Jury-rigged the bag

Ifeel helpless one bit!

I learned a new expression today.  I had to look up jury-rigged.

I think your last statement explains this sudden urge to clean.  I hope all you are doing won't hurt your arm but I am very impressed.

If it is any help RLP, this house and my car could do with a good clean. Are you free? I will probably need to break an arm etc before the urge to go and clean everything takes hold.

Best of vibes to RLP & Elmore - and to anyone else in need of same.

Memory tells me that "jury rigged" is a nautical term or is it just naughty?
Not used here but isn't is something to do with doing what you can with what you have- makeshift.

RLP & Jane. Definition please.

Tomovoz, exactly.  Jury (2nd definition in an on-line dictionary) NAUTICAL:  Intended or designed for temporary use; makeshift: a jury rig.

I was in chat for just a few minutes and it was sparkling and lively.  BK was not there, but others were.  Just had to share. :)

Now I must hie myself to the Wilde of Tangle (housing development) where my parents live and eat the dinner that they will be serving.  I don't know what it will be, but more than likely, it won't be something that I like.  She does that.  Oh, well.  It's free.

Jury rigged is from the days of sailing ships and dates from the early 1600s, if not earlier. It refers to a mast which is makeshift or a temporary contrivance, perhaps because the original was lost or damaged in a storm. Nobody knows for sure where it comes from.

Perhaps it took 12 men to hold up the mast!

Jane - Yes, I got tons of writing done today. I'm beginning to see the end of this portion of the process. Thursday, if all goes well. Did you watch the other movie yet? No rush, just curious.

The boxset of SHOWGIRLS sounds deevine. I would love it. Although I already own showgirl pasties. There's a provocative statement for you.

Panni, I think we will watch it tonight.  :) Yesterday, in keeping with our documentary mood we watched THE FOG OF WAR.

Tons of writing-that’s great.  I hope you pleased with it all.

When I spoke to my sister this morning she said her new kitten was playing with her tassles. I thought she meant ones on the curtains. I must check.

I am. The tassels were for a role I played when I was still an actress. I'm shy as ME, but not as a character on stage. :-*

Wow, BK, a SHOWGIRLS boxed set! Oh, my golly! I saw that movie once....and that was enough. Matt Battaglia is in it...he plays a not very nice man.

And I am pleased to report that my buddy Terry is out of the hospital now. As it turned out he had an alergic reaction to meds he was taking for his bronchitis and that somehow or other triggered a mild heart attack.

There will still be some tests on his lungs however.

Terry was very worried that he was going to miss this weekends Beer Garden in downtown Portland! LOL!
