Yes, I have both Desmond CDs - the latter, I believe, is a Japanese import - I don't think it's been available here in the US, although I could be wrong about that.

My mom sent me this.  I got a few hearty laughs out of it, too!

This comes from a Catholic elementary school test. Kids were asked questions about the Old and New Testaments. The following statements about the Bible were written by children. They have not been retouched or corrected (i.e., incorrect spelling has been left in).

1. In the first book of the bible, Guinessis, God got tired of creating the world, so he took the Sabbath off.

 2. Adam and Eve were created from an apple tree. Noah's wife was called Joan of Ark. Noah built an ark, which the animals come on to in pears.

3. Lot's wife was a pillar of salt by day, but a ball of fire by night.

4. The Jews were a proud people and throughout history they had trouble with the unsympathetic Genitals.

5. Samson was a strongman who let himself be led astray by a Jezebel like Delilah.

6. Samson slayed the Philistines with the axe of the Apostles.

7. Moses led the Hebrews to the Red Sea, where they made unleavened bread which is bread without any ingredients.

8. The Egyptians were all drowned in the dessert. Afterwards, Moses went up on Mount Cyanide to get the ten amendments.

9. The first commandment was when Eve told Adam to eat the apple.

10. The seventh commandment is thou shalt not admit adultery.

11 Moses died before he ever reached Canada. Then Joshua led the Hebrews in the battle of Geritol.

12. The greatest miracle in the Bible is when Joshua told his son to stand still and he obeyed him.

13. David was a hebrew king skilled at playing the liar. He fought the Finklesteins, a race of people who lived in Biblical times.

14. Solomon, one of David's sons, had 300 wives and 700 porcupines.

15. When Mary heard that she was the mother of Jesus, she sang the Magna Carta.

16. When the three wise guys from the east side arrived, they found Jesus in the manager.

17. Jesus was born because Mary had an immaculate contraption.

18. St. John the blacksmith dumped water on his head.

19. Jesus enunciated the Golden Rule, which says to do one to others before they do one to you. He also explained, a man doth not live by sweat alone.

20. It was a miracle when Jesus rose from the dead and managed to get the tombstone off the entrance.

21. The people who followed the lord were called the 12 decibels.

22. The epistles were the wives of the apostles.

23. One of the oppossums was St. Matthew who was also a taxman.

24. St. Paul cavorted to Christianity. He preached holy acrimony, which is another name for marriage.

25. Christians have only one spouse. This is called monotony

You are correct, sir.  A huge number of A&M releases got out in Japan (they all have POCM catalog identifiers) before Verve, then Universal, got around to releasing them stateside.  We A&M fans are STILL waiting for all the Wechter albums to be released, and, sadly, will probably have a lot longer to wait, as the powers that be seem content to reissue only the mega-sellers (over and over and over, I might add) from the A&M catalog.  Hence, the fourth re-release of Sergio's "Fool on the Hill" later this year (not that I'm complaining, Sergio-phile that I am).

Thanks again, to everyone for the birthday wishes.  You have really made my day.

The photos of the Northwest Gathering made me feel even more miserable about missing the whole affair.  What a beautiful group of people!  A group that could only have been made better by the addition of Jed and Anne and myself........ well, I couldn't have hurt the image.

Roast marsupial?

Hamster, hamster by candle light.
Do it in a casserole is doing it right.
When they're in season, they're pretty pleasin'.
Hamster sandwich, hamster and cheese.
Hamster sandwiches with mayoneeze,
are delicious, and so nutritious.

You can dice, you can slice and filet them.
Cut off their heads and sauté them.
And into the oven you shove,
smells like hamster love.

Hamster curry, or pickled toes,
Australian hamster tails, any good chef knows
how to make them, or just shake and bake them.
For breakfast, for lunch or while dining,
as a snack munch their deep-fried fur lining.
Into your mouth with a shove,
tastes like hamster love.

La-la la la-la, la-la la la.
La-la la la-la, la-la la la.

La-la la la-la, la-la la la.

I napped for half an hour.  Big mistake!  Now I can hardly function.  Maybe if I eat something I will feel better.  I just want to sleep until tomorrow morning.

Tv back to normal. I think digital cable was sending scrambled signals to my component digital connections. Anything digital I tried to watch was a complete mess. Unplugged the cable box which resets it, plugged it back in, and now things are peachy keen.

Thanks for the sweet and most welcome compliment, DR TCB!

Once the TV got back to normal, what did I put in? LADY AND THE TRAMP on laserdisc. LOVE NEST is setting there waiting to be watched, but I just felt like that lovely little movie tonight. It's over and now I'm preparing for chat.

Hi folks,

Just want to pop in and wish TCB the best birthday ever!  Hope it was wonderful but that the next one will put this one to shame!  :)

Glad to see DR Jane posting again.  You were missed but I loved the pictures of the gathering.  Someday we need to hold a HHW gathering where everyone can come and say "Hello!".

I think the sugar gliders are adorable.

I have to tell you all about my LadyBug story.  A guy a work had a Lady Bug on his shirt so he brought it to me because he heard I would be upset if he just killed it and he knew if anyone would be able to take care of it, I would. Smart man because I would have been VERY upset he had hurt it.

So I took my EFT (that's Emergency Fish Tank to those not up on the lingo  i.e. plastic cup with holes in lid) that was in this case a ELBH (Emergency Lady Bug Holder) and put the little thing in there until I could bring her home and turn her loose in my garden.  The city Lady Bug is now a country Lady Bug.  Well, I couldn't just let her go in the city, could I?  She would have gotten smashed on someones windshield!

I'm also assuming it was, indeed, a LADY Bug and not a Gentleman Bug.  I'm not sure what the correct title is for a male Lady bug.   ???

And I kept thinking:

Lady bug, Lady bug
Fly away home.
Your house is on fire,
Your children may burn.

What a horrible rhyme when you stop and think about it.  The loss of one's home and possibly your children as well.  Ugh.

Anyway, my boss had a fit and told me that if the Lady Bug got out of that ELBH and got on her it was going to refect on my next eval.  She said the same thing the last time when it was a lizard in the cup.

What can I say?  Some people let the smallest things bother them. :D

Danise - I don't know if this is international, but in Hungary lady bugs are signs of great good luck. So, as well as doing a good deed for the lady bugs of the world, you've brought yourself Good Luck.

I took another walk tonight despite its being much hotter and more humid today. I think these walks are more to make one feel good about himself for the effort that accomplishing anything physical. Maybe in a few weeks, I'll be able to tell a difference.

Panni now I’m wondering if the good luck is international.  I should ask Craig to find out about Romania.

Danise Keith says the good luck has already begun because it will reduce the bugs in your garden.
