Jennifer if you click on the "news" button or whatever, you will find all the Yahoo! news headlines.

Tried this. It wasn't there.

The New York pics are fun DR Jane!!

DR Panni, that North Hollywood house is adorable. When I was down there last time my buddy Ron and I drove around NH and saw many cute houses and neighborhoods. All I saw of Studio City was the main drag where Todai  and lots of the business are but I imagine it is a nice place.

Yes lovely photos DRJANE...and sorry to hear about your niece's loss.

DRPANNI good house vibes....don't forget to buy a new broom!

I too enjoyed SOPHIE'S CHOICE, the movie.  And TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.

MR BK I did find the last 90 minutes of TV's VALLEY OF THE DOLLS.  It doesn't include any of Jean Simmons' turn as Helen Lawson and has just a bit of Bert Convy's Tony Polar - but I can copy what I have if you want it.

Oh my I just won an LP copy of the soundtrack to LES UNS ET LES AUTRES for $3!  I hope the songs from the movie that I like the most are on it!

DR RLP the movie DVD in question is a three for one including I EAT YOUR SKIN, BRAINIAC, and THE HORROR OF PARTY BEACH.

Thank you JRand.  There have been too many losses in our family the last few years.  For my niece and nephew this must be by far the worst.

Not Indian by any chance?  Most computer support has been farmed out to India...and almost everyone will eventually get someone in some region of India when they call for tech support.

Now it's my turn:  "Oh, my!"

LOL...DR RLP.

Oh my I am watching LOOK FOR THE SILVER LINING on TCM.  I simply don't "get" either June Haver OR Ray Bolger and here they are starring TOGETHER in a movie.  It's not that I don't think they can dance...they can a bit (compared to others), but June especially is so ordinary looking and such an ordinary actress....hmmmmmmm.....

Then of course she quit show business for awhile and became a nun, and then quit the convent and married Fred MacMurray - which is what I call changing your mind with a vengeance!

My email is taking forever to send today.  Clicking on send/receive to get it moving only sends duplicate emails.  Just ask elmore.  Currently I have two emails sitting in my outbox going nowhere. :o

I guess I've been lucky with paypal this week - I've bought several silly cheap items and all payments went through instantly.

I am predicting we will reach 70,000 postings this very day.

Back from a long lunch with friend Penny Peyser.  Must try to write a few more pages.

Here's a question for everyone: Is there someone who used to be an important part of your life, who left without the two of you ever really saying goodbye.

My father when I was five. He was in the hospital and suddenly died the day he was supposed to come home. I wasn't allowed to go to the funeral. In fact, I wasn't officially told he had died. I "found out." So there's never been for me - for the lack of a better word - closure. Apparently he and I were very close. The way I dealt with it at the time was to forget him. I guess anything else would have hurt too much. I have not one single memory of my father left. Not a moment. And almost anything of his that I had, I lost. Including the teddy bear he gave me before he died. I dragged it with me across the border to Vienna -- and promptly lost it there.

Ha, ha! I love those three movies!

I have the MST3K version of Horror of Party Beach which is side splittingly funny! Did I ever make a DVD r of that for you? Well if you ever want it just ask!

Yes, I never understood June Haver either...not a beauty by any means...sort of hard looking, and yet played so many female leads.

Yes, but then, Ibsen swiped it from Euripides.

As one of my drama teachers once said, "Euripides these pants,  Eumenides pants.

School was like a very strange dream. There were so many people standing or walking around shouting and waving signs around. I almost got trampled trying to go get lunch. Walking through this crowd, for some reason, was somebody dressed as Lucky the Leprechaun. So lots of people were getting their pictures taken with Lucky. I was just sorry that I hadn't thought to bring my Swedish Chef hat. And then in the middle of all this, there were a bunch of Chinese people doing Tai Chi.

And I think I saw a Secret Service guy. He might have been a Blues Brother, though.
