Julie has also won an Emmy, a Grammy, and five Golden Globes. Only the Tony eludes her,and if the Tony Governing Board had ANY sense in their collective heads, she'd be granted an honorary award

I truly believe that she would have won the Tony for Victor/Victoria.  I saw both her and Donna Murphy that year.  And while DM was fabulous, seeing Julie Andrews live was a huge thrill.  I mean I was in total awe.  And I really feel like her performance was the best of that season.

Me:  "I was on time!"

Tom:  "No, you were late!"

Me:  "Ah, yes! I remember it well!"

Aren't we "musical" here!?!?

Yep! A Tony Walton!

Well, I must be off.  I'm ushering tonight for a performance by Will Ackerman of Windham Hill Records with special guest Scott Cossu.  They are performing tonight in Olympia and I get to see the show for free!  I have to sell concessions, but the show is still free!

Didn't I see you on a bench in the Luxembourg Gardens? It was raining. I remember it well.

Cute hat!  We have a guy at work that looks just like Clark Kent--right down to the glasses.   So he wore a tie and shirt with a Super Man T-shirt under.  He kept loosening his tie and pulled the shirt open to show the “S”.  It was just too too.

DRs Francois and Tom, do they have Halloween in your countries?

I got my pumpkin tonight.  So now I just must carve it!

Halloween is most certainly not a big deal here. Sometimes kids will get involved - the influence of their grade teachers!! Commerical interests have had no success in promoting Halloween.  We have no equivalent of Thanksgiving  either. Christmas is still the most significant holiday. This Tuesday (Nov 2 -  All Saints Day) is a holiday in this state - "Melbourne Cup Day". The nations stops for this horse race! I think it is the most significant in the Southern Hemisphere. Entrants come from NZ, France, The UK, Ireland and Hong Kong. It is the "Fashion" week for Spring here.

"All Souls Day" is really not significant here either - it is in some parts of France.

François I’m here.  I should be working as I still have closets to empty.  The street you live on is beautiful.  Which part of that is your home?

Bruce though the detail doesn’t show, it does look like a perfect spot for your beautiful new painting.

George I have a t-shirt similar to your hat.  It has been a long time since there was a Halloween warm enough to wear it.

Danise I look forward to your photo tomorrow and am pleased you will reap the rewards of your hard work.  I got a kick out of your co-workers costume.

I'm going to try to take better pix - not sure why they're coming out so dreary-looking.  It's a very bright room, the sofa should be much yellower - weird.

They may need some training to push the correct button on the camera but it's worth a try!!

Bruce, since we don’t know the difference the pictures look nice anyway.  I have now used my imagination to brighten the room and the couch.  It is very lovely.

Hello, Nurse Jane!  I've missed you this evening.  I just had some delish matzoh ball soup and rice pudding.

Dear Friend BK, the rooms look lovely, not at all dreary to me.  I had no idea you had a baby grand since never once in our history have I seen see your digs!  I forgot to add, the painting looks great there, a nice touch of color.

Don't fool yourself!
They missed the food! :o ;D

I don't know which photo you're referring to!
Tom has not posted "my" street on the site.... unless he has privately emailed you one of which I'm not aware and without "accreditation" (again!)!

Those people from Oz can't be trusted, I tell you! ;)

 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, they want us to celebrate Halloween too!
What do you know?! ; we have McDonald's, and Pizza Hut, and Gap, and Hollywood Planets, and Taco something, and Disneyland etc etc....
So we had to have Halloween!

Money Makes the World Go 'round, me dear! :(
