DR DANISE - I also clicked and watched your Downtown Bus pull up.  And also had access to all 35 images in that particular album.

All right, I love gossip.

Who dumped whom, and who is he dating instead?

They dumped him, apparently. He didn't want to write reviews anymore. Don't know where he'll end up.

Little Debby used to make a snack called Choc-o-Jels. Man those were good.

About the sweet corn. I'm not sure where this came from. It was fresh, probably Missouri

Between DR Danise and my nephew I'm getting the digital slr camera bug.  I love photography and it's so relaxing to me that I think it's worth the investment. I'm considering a Canon Rebel XT or a Nikon D70s, but I need to go take a good look at both of them in a camera shop....so that's what I'm going to do.  I'll be back later.....

Yup, gotta blame Jose, maybe that will bring him back......

The corn is better for you than a bag of cookies.....well, the dripping butter part.....oh who cares....

BTW, a corn eating tip from my mother....get the spray stuff, like I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and you can just spray it on the ear.  Much less messy.  I still go for the messy butter, but for those neatniks among us, it is an option

Of course, it would help to spell her name correctly!  It's Little Debbie!  And the official name is Nutty Bars® Wafer Bars.  They're the best!! ;D

Okay, can someone tell me the difference between Nutty Bars® Wafer Bars and Peanut Butter Wafers?  They look the same...unless the Nutty Bars® have more layers.

All this Nutty Bar® talk is making me hungry, and since it's lunch time, I'm off!

Speaking of corn, not-too-trvial trivia is that the much-talked-about musical GREY GARDENS includes a much-talked-about number called "Jerry Likes My Corn."

Speaking of Jose, wonder how the recording of the cast album went. There are photos on broadway.com, but they only feature the cast.

Does the Butterfingers Crispy Wafer sandwich count as a cookie or a candy bar?  If it's a cookie, that's a real favorite, too.

Oh yes. She has been tied up with her mom and sis, so she will surely give a report. It went well. Her mom did the entire walk with her. The rains that were supposed to come never did.

Tonight is the night she graduates. I shall leave work in an hour and report to Avery Fisher Hall to see the ceremony.

Yes, Deb, they do it all in one day unless there is a big problem. There are exceptions to that general rule (I remember from the documentary that Company had Elaine Stritch come back the next day after stopping at some ungodly hour in the evening/morning).

It's very expensive to record a Broadway show and the money people behind the recordings don't want to stretch it out. One of the expenses is that the actors in the show get paid. I forget if it's one day salary or one week salary. I think it's one week of salary for the day in the recording studio. The musicians also get paid so the costs add up. Studio rental, equipment, etc. all make it very expensive to put our Jose's mellifluous notes on to a little silver disc which we can then shove into a CD player any time we please  ;)

I'm thinking about those tins of cookies we used to have sell when I was in grammer school.  the tins always contained these kind of cookies:

(but without that sugar sprinkling--I don't remember them having that sugar sprinkling)

I also don't remember what other kinds of cookies came in those tins.

Oh I'm glad we had several downpours with lightning midday Sunday so I was concerned she had gotten caught in it.  I'm glad all went well

Maybe we should take bets on which movie JRand is watching at this very second!

I vote for  THE DEVIL WITH SEVEN FACES starring Ms. Carroll Baker....no doubt one of her proudest moments.
