But before I go, according to THIS article on Comcast.net, Parminder Nagra from "ER" will be part of a live commercial to promote London tourism before a performance of Stomp in New York.  What is the world coming to?

I, too, am sorry that "Lestat" is closing.

I'm sorrier, though, that Jose's first Broadway gig is ending.

Good to hear about DR TCB's recovery.

Sad to hear about LESTAT.  But here's a shout out to DR Jose, wherever you are.  It was your Broadway debut and no one can take that away.  We are all here proud of you.

And hey--DR TPunk is graduating at Avery Fisher Hall!  If she breaks out in a song and dance when she walks up for her diploma, she could break into show business.

Sounds like a plot for a musical - someone should write one!

Survived my hour at Computer Services.  At least two of our 20 internet workstations were occupied by parents accompanied by multiple children who should have been outside playing.

LOL, DR Tomovoz.  Actually, the kids were just being kids, but the parents needed some enlightenment regarding suitable occupations for preschoolers on sunny spring evenings.

What a lovely, lazy day I've had.  Got all my "stuff" done by noon and have just been doing nothing all the livelong day.  I've watched a couple of DVDs, snoozed, and eaten a silly meal from Gelson's deli - three smallish chicken tenders, four Oriental Drumettes (not so hot, but not much meat on 'em, so not too many calories), and a small amount of macaroni and cheese.  I'd imagine if I felt like it I could have something sweet for later without doing any harm - I did jog earlier, and I'm actually thinking about doing a second jog in a while, just to get some energy.  I might jog a half-mile to the liquor store and see what goodies they have, or I could jog over to Von's to see what goodies THEY have.

Good to hear that TCB is doing well.

Congrats, TPunk!

My little movie starts to shoot tomorrow in Toronto. It's strange to be so far away. I'm quite fond of this one -- and I feel like a mother whose child is taking its first step -- thousands of miles away.
I'll visit the set the last few days of the shoot.

I'm about to head out to do a little celebrating with my sister and Rodzinski.  But before I do, I wanted to see if anyone here had either recorded, or was planning to record Steven King's Desperation mini-series on ABC.

Sorry to hear about the closing of the show. We are so pleased and proud that at least  DR Jose made it to Broadway AND a Cast Recording.  Let's hope this is only the beginning.

You have expressed my sentiments perfectly.

Tomovoz, thanks for the update on TCB.

Col of Oz you are welcome.

I fully intended to set the VCR to record it before leaving for the graduation ceremony, but in the rush, I forgot.  If anyone has already taped it or if anyone on the west coast is planning to or is able to tape it I would be soooooooooooo grateful.

Congratulations TPunk.  Will the DVD of your performace (I assume you did take DtM's advice) be on sale soon?

I'm ensconced - not painful, really - in America's Best Value Inn, right downtown in Santa Cruz, CA. Travis has gone to have dinner with his mother's sister, who lives about an hour away, and her grandson - who is about Travis' age.

I walked around downtown a bit - I had forgotten what an absolutely charming town this is - haven't been here for - oh, maybe 35 or more years. It's just beauteous! Travis will love going to grad school here.

Anyone hear from TCB this afternoon?

Sheesh I'm tired... maybe eat a snack and head for the bargain-priced bed and great value TV... love the Free In-Room Wireless Internet!!!

And what a nice day it has been for a long drive...

Sorry Jose's show is closing so soon - but I have no doubt he'll have a week or two to chill out and recuperate, before sliding right into another show.
