Now here's something from yesterday I've heard nothing about.  First Tom Cruise and now Mr Travolta.  Whatever will the scinetologists think?

Well, there's an article from Canada.com that has some interesting info...

Quote
Travolta, 52, has been flying his Boeing 707 in and out of Hamilton as production gets underway in Toronto on the remake of Hairspray, in which he plays Edna Turnblad.

The tabloid noted that Travolta, whose left arm is on the man's back, got “up on one toe while puckering up with his pal.”

While the kiss could be nothing but a friendly peck (Travolta is, after all, half Italian) the pictures are fueling longtime speculation about the star’s sexual orientation.

At least Travolta isn't inclined to jump up and down on couches... that I know of.

(Neither Travolta or Cruise interest me in that way.  Der Brucer can breathe easier.)

EE-DO-MEN-AY-O. accent on 4th syllable!

DR MattH, I just looked at the PROJECT RUNWAY schedule:  episode 8, which we all seem to have missed last night, is airing at these times:
   Friday, Sept. 1, 11 AM
   Saturday, Sept. 2, 8 PM
   Sunday, Sept. 3, 5 PM
   Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1 AM (edisodes 1-7 air 6 PM-12 AM, Sept. 4)
   Wednesday, Sept. 6, 9 PM

Unfortunately, the site also told me who was kicked out last night, but I will not spoil it.

Double thanks for the pronunciation information and the PROJECT RUNWAY times. I had looked on the cable guide and set the DVR for the 11 a.m. show tomorrow.  Sorry you spoiled the ending for yourself in looking this up.

Another long lunch, so I didn't have time to see much this afternoon - only two shows.

I started with the first of the four remaining episodes of the WILD WILD WEST first season boxed set. Keenan Wynn was the guest star, but everyone looked and acted rather tired in it. It was near the end of the season, and I'm sure the energy level was pretty low by that time.

Seeing it on one of the cable channels (American Life, I think), I recorded during the early morning hours a MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. episode. I haven't watched this show since the 1960s when it was the hippest thing out there.

My lord how the years can alter one's perception! Stricitly formula acting, writing, and direction in this episode from the third season. The hour episode seemed like two hours. I won't be rewatching any of these!

Before going to bed last night, I checked my office e-mail and found a note that said "Hope you're feeling better.  I need you to be here tomorrow to go over a huge document.....because the deadline is Friday."

Sure.

I was pissed.

Nothing like "last minute" for some people.

But I'm here.  I've been here.  I've been totally swamped.

And this person is nowhere NEAR ready to have anything done to that document by tomorrow.  I was actually shocked at the ill-preparedness to go public with this document by tomorrow...especially since it's been the one major project this person has been working on for two months.

I mean...there are still people who have to review it before it goes out.  And it ain't nearly ready for that yet.

I feel so used/abused/and snoturated.

I shall now be on my way to auditions.  I would hope we're not going to send out August quite so pathetically as it would seem.  Frenzy, anyone?

DVD of the musical??

DVD from the video DR George.  I borrowed it from DR OzDerek who left us a year today.  It is difficuly to ask him about his source.  DR Jason would be a possibility for you.

And the word of the day is: RECRUDESCE!
Tonto said "Tonight, we may watch the CURS RECEDE, but soon they will RECRUDESCE and nip at our heels once more."  His masked friend was tempted to fire a silver bullet at him for showing off his language skills again.

Getting ready to watch BB. Tonight should be the best episode so far.  Apparently they still don't know it's double eviction - this could be fun

I just watched the cutest Japanese comedy called WELCOME BACK, MR. MCDONALD (1997).

In the film a housewife, who has written the winning entry in a radio drama contest, is having her script performed live at a radio station...but due to egotistic actresses, wimpy directors, sponsors, envious actors, etc, all heck breaks out in trying to get it on the airwaves.

Very funny movie.

It's early, but I'm tired. So, I think I'll take a hot bath and head to bed.   I had a major sentencing today and it was the last big hearing in about 2 months of being REALLY busy.   There's still lots to do, but it will calm down to a dull roar now.  I have no work to worry about all weekend.  I am most pleased about that!

Thanks, guys.

I'm heading out, but a quick Sarah-update...why do I ALWAYS do this? :)

I'm all moved in and attending classes at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. GO DUKES! And yes, this is the school of fellow ridiculously errant/truant DR Maya, who I have yet to see...we're currently in the planning stages of our much-awaited meeting.

Kind of interesting to think that when I began posting here at HHW, I was 15. Four years! WOW. Glad to see that there are still familiar faces :).

Again, thanks for the birthday wishes. Email me! However, it has changed from the original email to davisse@jmu.edu. :)
