In a conversation just now, someone referred to me as "conscientious."  I was quite pleased, but now I'm thinking that was just a polite way of saying I was being obsessive-compulsive.  :)

I'll let that thought go over and over in my head for a while.

Our friends from Oz are probably on the plane and winging their way to New York City!

Although tomorrow will probably be a day of sleep and recovery for them (I've never flown from Australia so I don't know quite how long it takes or how the jet lag affects you) we will have happy thoughts when they arrive at the Milford Plaza.

Press Report

Quote
Man late for flight pleads not guilty

By Tracy Manzer, Staff writer
Long Beach Press Telegram

A 21-year-old Miami Beach man who allegedly called in a bomb threat for a JetBlue flight at Long Beach Airport after arriving too late to board the plane pleaded not guilty in federal court Monday.

Yechezkel Wells, who came to town with several friends to attend a wedding last month, apparently was upset when he arrived late for an evening flight to Fort Lauderdale on Aug. 26 and wasn't allowed to board, authorities said.

Wells - described by his lawyer as a college student - was quickly detained by FBI agents, along with three friends who were released after questioning.
During his client's initial court appearance in downtown Los Angeles, defense attorney Donald Etra told U.S. Magistrate Judge Charles Eick that his client was being prosecuted for "one moment of gross stupidity."

Gee - OJ could have used that defense!

Good morning!

It's going to be a somewhat cooler day but also a muggy day with overcast skies and rain to come later. TOmorrow should begin our real cool down. I can't wait!

Have lots of TV to catch up with, and I need to get THE TOAST OF NEW ORLEANS dubbed over to a DVD-R at some point today so I can clear it off the DVR. With so much TV upcoming that will need to be recorded, I need the space.

I have to watch the last thirty minutes of THE PAINTED VEIL that I started yesterday, too. I also recorded TWO-FACED WOMAN from yesterday's Garbo festival, but I have seen it before, unlike VEIL and SUSAN LENOX from yesterday.

Good morning, MusicGuy, how is Sugar?  I've been meaning to tell you we had a wonderful dog named Sugar when I was growing up. I think of her every time you mention your Sugar.

And, now that it is the actual, official, real day................

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LARRY !! :)

And I noticed, in reading yesterday's posts, that you share this birthday with none other than that lovely Penzance Pirate himself........Rex Smith.

I envision Rex paying you a visit tonight...... "Hi Larry, did you know it's my birthday also?  I thought maybe we could figure out a way to celebrate together....."

From my lips to God's ears !.......

Hi Cilla..........Sugar is a dream of a dog.......a real joy of a companion, and definitely has her own personality.

In fact, she is "singing" at the back door right now, wanting to come inside.  She is very much an "in the house" pet, and only goes outside to do any unseemly business.

Oh, and as far as the  TOD  --

When I was in Australia, I always had a great "tee-hee" whenever I heard someone ask a little kid of they wanted some  " Fairy Floss " .  It turns out, it is what we call cotton candy.

OK, OK, ... I'm gonna take a little space here and brag about our wonderful Sugar for just a minute.  This picture will prove that she is definitely not, an outdoor working dog!  She gives domesticated a whole new name!

She is a doll!

Our Sugar was an indoor dog, too. She was part cocker spaniel and part pointer. She would point at building every once in a while. She was also black and white, but was mostly black with a white cross on her chest. My mother used to open the door to call her and would yell at the top of her voice "Sugar, Cootsie lover button coo, time to come in now"

I'm up, I'm up.  Don't think I'll have time to jog prior to breakfast meeting, so I think I'll do an afternoon post-post office jog.

I have decided to take the afternoon off.  I had a smoking relapse not long ago....ok the month of August... and part of September...anyway I have quit again and am going through brain fog.  It happens for a few days while the body gets used to not having nicotine. Nicotine is great for short term memory. Anyway, I've done the bare necessities today and am not getting anything else done, so I'm going to use a little vacation time and go shopping.

Hopefully tomorrow I will be inspired and can write the two briefs I need to do this week.

DR MBarnum, re: a question you asked yesterday about TAR.

You asked why I am not crazy about the father/daughter team even though they did well.

There was just something about the father that rubbed me the wrong way.

I didn't actually see them do anything too genius.

They did seem fairly fit (moreso the daughter).  And she was okay (but not a personality that really grabbed me).

Maybe my opinion will change when i see them more.

Hello.

I'm going to try to catch up on all the posts I haven't read from the last few days.
