Loved the family pictures, DR Jane. Terrific to see all three of you in that one shot! Congratulations on your new acquisition!

I watched another GREY'S ANATOMY episode, this one following the birth of the quints and featuring the story of the "leech man." I had seen it before, and I enjoyed it just as much the second time around.

I didn't recognize Timothy Bottoms as the "leech man." Nice to see him again.

the univerally loathed (by the LA critics) but audience approved Deceit received 0 nominations, despite the wonderful performance of Matt Ashford.

I liked THE CLASS. No, not every character appeals to me. I can't warm to Andrea Anders' character. I found her bland on JOEY, and I find her totally unmemorable here, too. Jesse Tyler Ferguson can do no wrong. I think he's adorable. Sam Harris is a total hoot! Jason Ritter isn't as interesting as the other guys in the show, and he seems to be the star. I'm not sure if they shouldn't shift the emphasis off him and onto some others (though, to be fair, they are giving everyone some good opportunities).

Of course, BK still has it.  His voice is almost as good as the great Guy Haines!

Ok, so I went to the audition and it went fine as far as I'm concerned and they want me to go back tomorrow and sing again.

DR Cillaliz, given how you were feeling this morning, that's terrific that you were up for it and did so well. You guys are inspiring to me!

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. Not as good as last week, and Neil Patrick Harris' Barney character, stealing date after date from Marshall, is the kind of friend it's ricidulous to think anyone would let hang around them for long. Before, I thought his narcisism was slightly endearing, but it's become selfishness in the extreme now and very unappealing to me.

HEROES took a great portion of the hour to hook me. I understand as a new show, a lot of exposition had to be taken care of. I wonder how many viewers were patient enough to hang around waiting for feats of surprise or amazement?

Nevertheless, I'll be anxious to see where the writers go from here. (And I understand we'll be adding "heroes" regularly.)

STUDIO 60 featured more bright writing and exemplary acting. Yes, it's certainly a show I will continue to watch. I like all of the cast and look forward to getting to know some of the less center-stage characters in the months ahead.

Sure......... of course............. naturally, we would have nine pages of posts on a Monday when we start Monday at 9:27 p.m. on Sunday.  What is the matter, BK, you couldn't stay up until three a.m. EDT in order to post at midnight?

Well, thanks to FJL for the morale boost.  I've got plans to not speak tomorrow until rehearsal, and I think if I just don't abuse Ye Olde Vocal Chords that I may make it without having to see Dr. Feelgood.

There has been no trouble with our smoke detectors since yesterday morning, which suggests that it isn't the batteries that caused the problem, but particulate matter in the air.

I'm blaming Fletcher, and his pooting (releasing gaseous emissions in an undisapplined manner).

Okay, but don't be surprised if it does it again just about a week from now!

No, DRCILLALIZ...many of us would feel the same....as will the artistic directros and the audience when ASCAP/BMI show up and close them down....as happened to one "cabaret" that was open nearly a two years here in Indy.

They haven't finished doing the casting yet, so even though she made it clear I would be in the show, I think tomorrow I'm going to tell her that the court set a trial or something like that and I won't have time to do it after all.  There's a good community theatre here - I haven't particularly liked the shows they've done, but maybe something good will come up there this year. I know they do things the right way so I would be glad to be in one of their shows...of course that would depend on whether they would like me to be in the show...

JRand - That WOULD be an interesting game show.  :)

Skip naturally meant his comments about Bruce's phrasing as a very high compliment.

And of course, Bruce, singing almost continuously from 1 pm to 3 pm in your work-through session in addition to the regular rehearsal is much more singing than in a 2-performance day.

We had a great band rehearsal with the cast, which got a boost out of the instrumentation.  It was nice to finally meet Beth Fowler, and I love Mary Stout.  The ensemble is great, and I think all bodes well fro the show.

What part is Beth Fowler playing?
