DR Cillaliz - tonight I watched Serendipity, which Richard ordered for me from Netflix.  Fond memories of our Thursday in the  Park (and Upper East Side) with Jose!

I'll have to order that and watch it again. It's been awhile since I've seen it, but it was the reason I first wanted to go to Serendipity III

...That was my cue to walk over to CVS and get one of them "new fangled" digital thermometers. It's battery operated and it gives you a reading in less than two minutes. All for just $5.99....
We got one of those when Fletcher wasn't feeling very well.  D'j'ever try taking a Dalmatian's temperature?

Too much information?   ::)

My best to Ant.

Well, restoring my iPod seems to have helped.  At least it's lasting longer this evening than I am.

I decided to volunteer on election day again.  I really love the excitement of the day.  I have to take the day off to do it, but that makes it even more fun.  There are some very tight local races that will be very interesting.

Back from my many meetings and photo shoot.  Best news: They hired the gal I wanted as my sound designer - that means everything will be completely professional and I don't have to worry about anything.  She's aces - does the Taper shows (including Jason Robert Brown's new musical, which opens just after we do), and is becoming the go-to person for sound design in LA.  We're lucky to have her.  Photo shoot went well.

I never did get to watch last night's SVU. I'll watch it tomorrow along with tonight's episodes of THE NINE and CSI: NY.

I did manage to watch two episodes of THE OFFICE, both hysterical. The first was "The Fire" episode and the other was the "Halloween" episode which combined dressing in outrageous costumes with the plot that Michael had to fire someone by day's end.

LOST had a tension-filled, thrilling episode with Locke and CHarlie searching for Mr. Eko. The Locke backstory was fascinating and, of course, unfinished. We still don't know how he got injured nor do we know what happened with Eddie.

What a fabulous series! And tonight's HD cinematography was mind-boggling. All of the outdoor shots on the island were awesome, but Locke in the cave was breathtaking!

I also say hi and I'll be back on this site soon.

(Not that I'm actually leaving, I'll be back here in the morning, but so many people are saying hi and that they'll be back on the site soon that i didn't want to be left out of the new trend.  :) )

I know zip about clothes and fashion, so the PROJECT RUNWAY finale was an eye-opening experience for me.

I thought Laura's crafting was exquisite, but I understood the judges' criticisms of her collection (though I thought all her gowns were extraordinary and knowing they were made for $8,000 or less just floored me).

I hated everything about Michael's collection. Didn't really like a single piece.

Of the two left, I would have chosen Uli's dresses, but knowing the fashionistas like bizarre and different (or what looks bizarre to my eyes), I wasn't surprised that Jeffrey won. And his 12 pieces did run the gamut as well as had a unique look all his own. FUnny, but that one gown they all loathed was the one dress I would have said was the best!

See what I mean about knowing nothing about fashion!

I'm glad PROJECT RUNWAY is over, however. With MEDIUM slated to return in a month, that will make three network shows all on Wednesday at 10 that I'm interested in seeing in HD, so I'll be skipping TOP CHEF.

Is anyone here a fan of TOP CHEF? I saw in the newspaper this morning that one of the chefs is from CHarlotte this season.

Back from the Cabaret Convention at Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln center.  BK's co-star in Last Starfighter, the hilarious Georga Osborne, was a true highlight, as well the ever-getting-better-and-better Jeff Harnar.   And Ann Hampton Callaway was a wonder, comedy, singing, impersonating instruments, the lady has it all.  And what a gorgeous hall this is.  Even the ticket-takers were top-notch.

My new favorite comedy bit, as done by Ann Hampton Callaway after mentioning a famous business associate:  bends down, as if scooping something off the ground and saying "Oops, I dropped a name."

OK, maybe you hadda be there, but she was hilarious.
