I just looked at the list of next week's DVD releases. Apart from THE ILLUSIONIST, there was NOTHING that interested me in the least.

Thankfully, these last few weeks have been DVD-lite insofar as new DVD releases of interest. After Christmas spending, my wallet has really appreciated it.

However, we know there are going to be a lot of treasures coming up this year. Glad we get a small breather at the start of 2007.

I watched "Law and Order: SVU" last night.

In it, a woman had a wonderfully alliterative line of dialogue, in which she was telling the detectives where they could find some letters from her estranged father:

"...in the basement in a box by the boiler."

Our BK certainly went on a tear at the start of the new day.

It was very effusive of him.

Last night I removed the wreath from my front door, and removed the ornaments from my Norfolk Island pine which sits outside the front door.

Oh... I guess this could be a question for Ask BK Day... And pardon me if this was discussed during my period of errant-and-truantness...

From the past couple weeks of Broadway Grosses... What's the deal with the average ticket price for Jersey Boys being in the $120-5 range?!?  Just how many of those premium seats are they selling?  And for how much?

I believe that the Jersey Boys premium seats are over three hundred bucks, and they're apparently selling them.

My tree is still fully decorated and shimmering.  I simply cannot bring myself to denude it at this time.

I shall take full advantage of Epiphany, and I'll take it down over the weekend.

Ask BK

You mentioned a while back you appeared in the pilot IF I AHD A MILLION.

There were 4 different stories. Which of the following did you appear in?

1) The Good Boy with John Schuck, Loudi Zorich, Val Biscogio

2) The Searchers  with joseph Wiseman, Ruth McDevitt, Rae Allen

3)Three with Kenneth Mars, Elayne HelVeil, Melendy Britt

4) First the Tube and Now You Dar;ling. with brett Somers & Ted Gehring

1 written by Lionel E Siegel
2 written by Robert Van Scoyk
3 written by M Charles Cohen
4 written by Oliver Hailey

Director Daryl Duke

Being a fan of coprophiliac jokes, it is only appropriate that it's number two - The Searchers, with Joseph Wiseman.

It's a foggy day in Oakland town right now.

"They" say the fog will burn off in the early afternoon, leaving a cloud cover.

Tonight, "they" say, the rains will come.

A gift, no doubt, from the favonian gods....

I'm seriously entertaining the idea of winning the lottery at some point during the year.

My mom says the chances of winning a lottery are as good as smelling a gaseous bodily emission on the wind.

I say, "Somebody's bound to smell it."

When the time comes, I won't be saying "Who? Me"?

I'll be saying, "THAT'S MINE!"

Since Bk was just on a frenzy, my question for Ask BK Day, if anyone's game or cares  :) :

Have you ever gotten on a tear about something on the internet that in retrospect you wish you could go back and delete, but there it is for posterity?  (Similarly, or alternatively, have you ever left a message for somebody that you wish you could have taken back, even before the person got it?)

One of mine is when I posted bitterly on the internet about the scandalous seating situation at a play that i really wanted to see, only to get an email from the significant other of a friend saying he was a lead producer on that show.  Tried to go back and delete my message board postings, but to no avail.

Happily, the one thing I wrote on the Internet that really bothered someone I was able to remove - I spoke about it at the time - it was during The Real A days and long before the Kritzer books, when I was anonymously telling some of my childhood stories.  In so doing, I mentioned some friends my family had and the sad end that met the mother of said friends, and I'd used their names.  I believe it was about two years ago when I got an e-mail from the daughter of said friend's father (who'd been a childhood playmate of mine) who was shocked and offended and hurt by what she read - it seems her father had never told her about her grandmother's sad end.  I felt really bad, had a nice e-mail volley with her, and had Mr. Bakalor remove the paragraph.  Interestingly, the girl's boyfriend is the son of Les Traub of Cabaret West.

Meanwhile, I have job security (I attained "tenure" on December 16) and a guaranteed pension (my second) and medical benefits (I also have VA).

It still doesn't seem like enough, though.

MattH's post put me in the mood for some cocoa as well.  Luckily, we got some cocoa as a Christmas present and there's some left.

If not, I have some wonderful Scharffenberger cocoa mix (real chocolate) here, plus a can of Canterbury Cuisine cocoa mix (artificially flavored).

I'll make a cup and drink it for you.

My mom tells a joke where the teacher says "Let's do our math problems.  Bobby, you do #1 at the blackboard, Billy, you do #2, the rest of you do it at your seats and I'll supply the paper."

It doesn't look funny in print, but my mom tells it great.  Always gets a big laugh.  :)

For some reason, I'm ruminative today.

I never know where that may lead.

There is a lot of hacking going on around here.  And I don't mean the computer kind of hacking, either.

Some folks just hack and snort and carry on, inviting us into their misery.

I wish they would stay home, keeping their "hacking" germs off the furniture and countertops.

Of course, I'm referring to sick folk.  Sick folk should rest and take care of themselves.

Healthy folk should avoid them like the plague.
