Hmm.. I just realized that my scarf and ear-muffs are still down in Virginia, so... I may have to make a run down to Macy's this afternoon.

Well, time for me to unpack the four or five boxes of stuff that I should have unpacked two weeks ago...  Better late than never.

Laters...

Thursday morning greetings!  My workday started with a meeting at Panera, so I had one of my favorite breakfast pastries - a bear claw.  Theirs have lots of sliced almonds (those are good for you, right?) and a slightly orange-flavored glaze.  I only ate half, so will have the other half for breakfast tomorrow.

At home, I like to make pecan waffles and an egg casserole with ham or sausage.  DH Richard likes me to make crepes with a cream cheese filling and warm blueberry topping.

I love to go out for breakfast, to places like First Watch.  Before our Thursday in the Park with Jose last October, several Hainsies/Kimlets went to brunch at Sarabeth's on Central Park South.  There I had one of the best omelets ever - the Garden, with broccoli, corn, carrots, and cheddar cheese.  Yum!

Yes you will need earmuffs and gloves for the next few weeks, at least.

Yesterday I read a news report that nuking sponges in the microwave for 2 minutes is the best way to kill germs, better than my usual method of putting them in the dishwasher.

This morning Keith showed me an article that there are some angry people out there who destroyed their microwaves nuking the sponges.  Seems the article forgot to mention the sponges need to be wet before nuking them.  Also to be careful when removing them as they are very hot.

Fortunately I had the sense last night to place our wet sponges on a plate, nuke them, and remove the entire plate using a pot holder.

I forgot about Mr Cochran playing D. Day's husband in that movie, DR MBARNUM.  Yes, very good.

I saw Ms Laurie Mitchell in a movie on TCM this morning...Lord Love a Duck.

I love a big, huge breakfast!!!

One of my favorite breakfast places now is a place that DR Musicguy took me to in Hollywood last December....I think it was called The 101 Cafe or something like that.

It was very 50s/60s retro and had a most wonderful scrambled egg topped with sour cream and caviar....man that was good! I went back a few days later and had breakfast there again.

For you AI fans, was it just me, or was that one New York chick last night pulling a Paula?  (The girl that came in wearing the cowboy hat and boots and admitted she couldn't sing -- at least she was honest).  She acted and looked like she was drunk -- most bizarre behavior (which for her to stand out in my memory amongst all the wack-jobs last night says she takes the fruit-loop prize), especially when talking to the camera after her rejection.....or either she forgot to take her meds...but it was more like drunken behavior (...been there, done that, but at least not on national TV, thank goodness)...

A good diner breakfast of two eggs over easy, home fries (different from the hash browns you usually get at a Perkins or Embers in Minneapolis), some bacon (not to crisp) whole wheat toast and a bottomless cup of coffee. Mmm, mmm, mmm. Though I can't eat that too often. My doctor objects.

This is my favorite too!!!   I do substitute hash browns if I'm not in a place that I know has good home fries. I've had some really bad one before and I don't like to ruin a good breakfast with bad home fries.

In his notes today our Dear Friend BK wrote: Plus, I realized I’d left one track of the track listing on the Brain inlay card – thank goodness I caught that and it is now fixed, as well.  Was it "Saucers In The Sky" which was accidentally left off my rough mix?  Curious minds want to know!

No, it was one of the "news" incidentals, the third one.  It was in the synopsis, but I left it off the track listing on the inlay card - it was on the CD where it should be and that's how I realized - one more track on the CD than on the listing.

Thanks for the tip. I've gotten in the habit of getting cheap sponges, using them for awhile then throwing them out and getting new ones. This would be a money saver

Julieanne Pogue stopped by this morning with a lovely Xmas present - two interesting-looking DVDs from Merry Olde England - one a musical version of a TV show - Acorn something, and one a history of the English music hall - looking forward to seeing both posthaste.

I've caught up.  I've pondered, pored over and pouted a bit.

I've waded through three pages, and I've gotten my knickers wet, so up past my thighs was I into it.

Welcome back, Molly!  JRand...I hope Molly is up to back-and-forth travel.  Be wary of travel restrictions in the summer.

Had an e-mail this morning from the company that sent the missing package - they've resent, this time insured (the post office and my mail place would NEVER lose an insured package).  So, I should have it in a few days.
