Sorry for being E&T... Mother nature has wreaked havoc with the phonelines up here...

Cilla, how much snow did you get?

Nearly a foot here.

So, with that in mind, I will tell you all I'm going to Curtains after dinner.  I want to see it with the last round of changes.  The guy at the box office told me they are working on trimming another 15 minutes before opening.  I decided since I've seen it as it's been taking shape I'd see it one more time.   With all the changes in my job coming up, I don't expect to be traveling for fun any time soon. So what the hell.

Dakota, I'm in New York. I don't know if I can make it home, they had about 18 inches and 30-50 mile per hour winds for 2-3 days.  Last I heard the interstate I need to drive to get home is closed, but people are driving it, at your own risk and if you go in the ditch there is no telling how long it will be before someone comes to get you

For those who knew about my presentation this past Thursday, it went quite well with many questions. I did a presentation on computer-mediated communites. They include message boards, chat rooms and fansites.

Very true about the ditch... They just reopened I-29 and parts of I-94 this afternoon and they have been closed since Thursday afternoon. I have heard that further south they got a lot more snow than we did. I have heard as much as three feet in part of MN and SD

THe REd River Valley of the NOrth and parts of Western Minnesota got off easy compared to parts of MN and ND. Near Jamestown and Valley City they had two feet.

DR Cillaliz - Thanks for sharing your NYC adventures with us.  I'm glad you've totally immersed yourself in Curtains!  Say HI to Fred & Skip and pat Toby & Dylan for me.  Have you made any decisions about trying to get home?

Althought my mother and I postponed our shopping trip until Monday (she didn't want to go out in the cold/snow/wind), DH Richard and I did go out to the mall for a while.  It's so pitiful - many of the stores have closed or are in the process of closing.  The mall was just sold to a new developer, who made lots of noise about a total re-do and has now backed off.

Seeing how some of you are buried under snow, I will not mention the beautiful Arizona spring day here. I wouldn't want to brag.

Of course!!! .... I was surprised to get on due to internet service and electricity being a bit wonky due to the weather.

I have no real interest in Spring Awakening.  Cilla - you are obsessed with Curtains!!!

But not as obsessed as some girl who would go see Urinetown 200 times and The Wedding Singer 140 times - my bafflement comes from where does such a person get the MONEY to see a show that many times?  And why would they WANT to?  I mean, I saw A Chorus Line many times during its B'way run - like maybe ten.

Greetings to all-

TOD:  I have some memories of camping with my family when I was young, and we lived near Los Angeles.

Now, the closest I get to camping is the DVD of the perpetual fireplace...you know, the one that some TV stations broadcast during the December holidays?  Except that it's an indoor fireplace on the DVD, so it doesn't really count as a campfire.  And it's not that interesting for repeated viewing.  But other than that, Mrs. Lincoln...

DR DAKOTA CELT glad your are surviving the Winter a Deux!

Who would have thought?

And congrats on your presentation.

OMG DR CILLALIZ - that girl went to Urinetown more often than I have played the Cast CD!!

Homicidal.  I just wanted to say that again.  It's one of my favorite titles for a movie.....Homicidal....say it out loud.  People around you will wonder what you are thinking about.

And Homicidal Underpants would be a great musical!

A girl came in today to buy a deck of tarot cards.  She said she wanted the Canoli Deck and it took awhile to figure out that it was the Connelly Deck she wanted.

But she thinks she has the Canoli Deck.

Jonathan Groff cannot sing a line with out spewing out a raft of spit. I'm really not trying to be rude, but it got distracting after awhile and I was trying to find a time when he sang without seeing water droplets...didn't happen.
