Watching some ice skating.

I like GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH.....I don't like AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, I think mostly because I just don't like David Niven in anything.  I really like THE TEN COMMANDMENTS because it is completely  berserk and exists in its own universe - and scripture.

What about if there was a rap/hip hop version of a R/H show called:

South Pacific Avenue

Nellie is a singer who was voted off American Idol, and Emil is the judge who wanted to keep her.  But Nellie loves the owner of a Rap CD Label...and she must decide which culture she will live in....

Billis is the Italian gangster who holds the mortgage on said CD company, and Bloody Mary is his mother, so called because she is the main hit man of the organization.

And Mary owns this dive called the Bali-Hai Mosh Pit!

Reconceiving Musicals.

Fiddler On the Roof
Instead of an orchestra in the pit a Klezmer Band on stage. As that type of music was more authentic in the era and area.

Reconceiving Musicals 2

Nine
As it was originally written with men. I believe Samuel French offers this alternate version.

Cool!  I'd love to see an all-male version!  I can just picture a man in Carla's slinkly Anita Morris outfit. ;)

Or do you mean like the London concert version that has men in the chorus? ::)

It’s a good thing I didn’t mortgage our house to buy the purse, the vet bills are about to add up.

Tomorrow morning our vet is calling to set up an appointment for Sherlock to see an orthopedic specialist in Portland.  He needs further tests & possibly surgery on his shoulder.  On the initial x-rays it appears he has bilateral (though only the right side is symptomatic) OCD, or Osteochondritis dissecans.

I just bought discount tickets to Curtains for Thursday night, thanks to Jose's info. But Avenue Q only had one show to chose from, March 16th. Is it closing, or just sold out that far in advance?

Osteochondritis dissecans---it says that:
More than 10% of dogs develop OCD in one or more joints. The condition is more prevalent in large and giant breeds such as:
Great Dane
Labrador retriever
Newfoundland
Rottweiler
Bernese mountain dog
English setter
Old English sheepdog
Golden retriever
German shepherd

I believe Liliane LaFleur was originally written for a man, the Germans at the Spa were men and women and a couple of other parts.

DR Edi - Glad you got tickets to CURTAINS. I think you'll enjoy it.  Have you gotten tickets to DROWSY CHAPERONE yet?  That's a great show too.

I was trying to use the discount code listed but it doesn't register as being valid, in either uper or lower case.  :'(

Edi - AVENUE Q isn't sold out during the time you're here, it's just that the discount code shown on broadwaybox.com expires March 16th.  (Full price tickets - $100 plus service charges - are available for performances  during your stay at telecharge.com, so it's not sold out.)

As DR FJL mentioned, the codes expire that Friday, so... And I checked a couple of other shows out, and their discounts expire then too - most likely to coincide with the start of the Spring Break season.
