Then I get this letter from Time Warner Cable saying it's time to migrate my adelphia e-mail accounts.  This is very problematic since it involves my paypal account - and the instructions for migrating are incredibly difficult, at least to my eye, plus it involves uninstalling whatever adelphia security system was in place and then installing time warner security system and what a pain in the ASS this is.  Then I'll have to call paypal and fix that, then I'll have to contact my webhost here to have them send the bruce@haineshisway.com e-mails to roadrunner and on and on it goes.  Damn them, damn them all to hell.

Thanks all for your comments.

I made a telephonic purchase last night using my ATM debit card.  The vendor is reputable.

The person who processed my order, though...entered my card number 11 times.  No doubt he was attempting to get an "ok" or some other signal, but he wasn't patient with it.

Today, my account is frozen.  My checking balance is zero on paper, and minus $1,200 or so in total.   My savings account is intact and will cover, but it, too, is frozen...pending receipt of the sales transaction by the bank, who promises to release all funds not actually being paid when the receipt comes in.

#(%*%&#$$(#)#)(*)_(X))(*D)*)FG(*)R)*W)*D)*W)*

Crap-ola.

I tried to sort things out telephonically and the bank agreed to rectify the situation via a telephone call from the vendor.  The vendor agreed to call the bank and sort it out that there should only have been one transaction and not 11.

But that was at 11 a.m.  It is now nearly six hours later...and nothing has changed.

I think "Crap-ola" is an understatement! :P

Boy, something must be in retrograde today!

Our CLOSER session was awful today, too. Not my part, but troubles with onlined master tapes and producers not communicating with graphics people. It was a very bad day for the TNT producers, but since we're just gearing up for the season, I hope things will smooth out and the workflow will be more streamlined.

My day was fine. I  was able to do some work to prepare for the screenings while watching Fritz showering.

DR Ron Pulliam - Is there a chance that the multiple, duplicate charges will "fall off" after midnight tonight?  Sort of like how hotel authorizations work.  In any case, I hope your situation is resolved soon(!!!!!).

"American Idol" Report...  Neat "Theme" tonight... Songs from the British Invasion.

SORTA SPOILER

First singer: Female.  Good song choice.  Good performance.  Questionable outfit.

"American Idol" Report #2

SORTA SPOILER

Second singer: Male.  Good song choice.  Neat arrangement.  Still a little too much riffing for me even though he didn't riff all the time.  Stop dressing like your from Virginia Beach! ;)

"American Idol" SORTA SPOILER #3

Third singer: Female.  One of my favorite songs.  Not a great performance - a little pitchy, and maybe a key too high for her.  And the instrumental intro should have been ditched in rehearsal.  And I didn't like the outfit as much as Paula did.

Not much on tv tonight for me.  I think only IDOL and Boston Legal.

I am wondering for anyone who watched last night's DANCING WITH THE STARS.  Who is your favorite?  I know i usually have different taste. So i was just curious.

There actually wasn't anyone this year who i really disliked.  I know many people probably thought billy ray was bad. But i really love watching Karina dance. And hopefully she can do something with him.

DR Jennifer, I watched. I agree that Billy Ray was really bad. In fact he got the lowest score in history...ok so it's only the 4th season, but...   I liked several of them, but I want to wait a while before really picking a favorite

Fourth Singer: Male.  Another cool song, and cool arrangement.  And sexy! And nice to hear more of his upper range.

Edi, thanks for the info about the NYCLU (DR Ben, it looks like the NYCLU is promoting Friday's 7-ish screening. I'm not sure what that means but I hope we'll at least have a full house)

Maybe I'll wander over to the Quad tomorrow and see if someone will sell me two tickets for a 7-ish PM showing of S&V on Friday, March 30th. If not, I can try this weekend. Maybe times will be up by then.

That's the firsat time I've heard Sacco and Vanzetti referred to as "The Girls". Maybe there are still things about them I've yet to discover!

(They were there long and they were harmed. Oh yes, they were harmed.)

I think she's referring to the soccer team that is listed as the first movie on the site

DR Ben - I may see you and Ant at Chelsea Clearview Cinemas ("Where Dreams Come True") for "Johnny Guitar".  Since I'll just be a few blocks away... And some of the cast may also be going too.  -Now wouldn't it be soooo cool if Eartha Kitt showed up?  I bet Hedda Lettuce would PLOTZ!  ;D

Why are people allowed to do something that they don't know HOW to do?

I think you should get your purchase FREE!

We shall see.

I've spoken to the salesperson with whom I placed my order.

He "remembers" me.  But he doesn't know what happened.  He said the system dropped my order entirely...and blames everything on "the computer."  He doesn't have a record of anything, but he does know multiple charges were sent out, although he assures me there will be no charge to me because they don't have a bill.

Whatever that means...and whenever....but he wants me to feel free to call back when it's all resolved and re-place my order.

Of course it is the Spring Equinox (Autumn for DR TOMovOZ) and the sun has entered fiery Aries, which may account for some of the problems today.

They should all be resolved by tomorrow, though.

As of today, we're certified "fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes". Does that mean we're good, or just new?

I see they can't spell....

Who cares, they are good reviews  ;D

"American Idol" SORTA SPOILER #5

Fifth singer: Female.  Interesting "process" clip.  Interesting song choice.  Interesting outfit.  -And just how limited is this singer's knowledge of popular song?  A good performance, that should have been much better.

Seventh singer: Female.  Great, powerful song.  Pretty good performance - I felt a little more technique would have helped her on the top notes.  OK outfit.
