BONES had a return visit from Ryan O'Neal playing Brennan's wanted father, and he aided her in finding Booth who eventually was kidnapped and being held for infomration before being killed. Tense episode, and a sweet reconciliation between Brennan and her father.

CROSSING JORDAN likewise had a tense episode concerning a hijacked school bus and thirteen kidnapped kids. A second plot involved a dead Santa Claus found in a chimney. And, of course, there were Jordan's continuing medical condition which I was glad to see will be dealt with next week. Dragged out MUCH too long I thought.

LOST had another stunning episode with lots of chills and some genuine irony in the backstory with Kate and Sawyer's former love (whom he conned).

But if ANY of the group trusts Juliet, well, let's just say I wouldn't if *I* were there.

As for the AMERICAN IDOL elimination, I called it right for a change. As I said last night, I didn't like her rendition at all and while I certainly did think she could sing, I didn't think this week did her any favors.

The groupings didn't surprise me at all either, and the top three ladies are definitely the best singers in the competition bar none.

Late night ask BK question

When you got the rights to re-release The Grass Harp. What kind of tapes did you do get from Ben Bagley? (Mixed, multi tracks etc) I am curious how he recorded his songs over the years and how it different from you before the days of Pro tools,

First of all, we didn't use Pro Tools until around 2000 or thereabouts.  So, before then we all did it the same way.  I received the album masters for Grass Harp, and then spent many, many hours trying to get them to sound better - we were very successful, but it was really hard work because it just didn't sound good originally.

Watching a Mario Bava movie.  I'd already read raves about this transfer, and I'm sorry to say that anyone who would rave about this transfer needs to remove his/her head from their rectal cavity.

I've been listenting to BK's "The Burt Bacharach Album" that I got from BK and his $10 sale.  WHY DIDN'T I GET THIS CD SOONER??  I LOVE THIS!!  And great charts, Larry!  The Twiggy CD is next...with all orchestrations by our very own Elmore. ;D

George, those are the same two CDs I bought! LOL! And I love them both, as well! Especially the Twiggy one!

DR Ben - Thanks for the Frost/Nixon report.  I've been wanting to attend a good play lately, and this may be it.  -Although, I have a feeling I'll be attending the Kevin Spacey Moon for the Misbegotten.

Wos, I must be tired.  I thought you typed "Kevin Spirtas MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN."

Well, I should get some of my packing done before heading to bed... -At least I don't have to head to Grand Central until 10:30, so I should have a little bit of time in the morning to get a few things done around the apartment.  In any case...

Goodnight.

The Twiggy album didn't sell very well, but I adore it and it's one of my least known CDs - but everyone who takes a chance on it ends up being entranced with it.  It was one of the most fun albums ever and it was a real love affair between Twiggs and me, just an instant artistic bond.  When Tommy Tune came in to do his duet, he was very ill at ease in front of the microphone and very pitchy.  I went over to talk to him and was having a nice conversation, when Twiggy said loudly "Listen to Bruce and do exactly what he says!"

I'm having trouble concentrating on the movie - I'm so in book mode, and I keep coming in and adding little things here and there in the new pages, and then I wrote the first paragraph of the new chapter, just so I wouldn't have to start cold in the morning.

Thanks for the background on the Twiggy Cd, BK. I am very fond of her rendition of DANCING ON THE CEILING, which is a song that Jessie Mathews did back in the 1930s...Twiggy really does the song beautifully!

And wow, just the fact that you got to work with Twiggy is way cool!

And I worked with her again on the cast album of If Love Were All.  Not sure if I have any of those in the next batch.

I'm going to start putting stuff in the car, so I can head out early in the morning.

Now that I'm on the warpath, I am ready to get out of this town for a few days...
