I'll have last night's MEDIUM to watch today and also need to finish THE YEARLING. Then, I'll see about getting to MURDER BY DECREE.

TOD:  I suppose that would have to be tripe.  I'll try anything at least once.  That is probably something I won't try again, however.  :)

There are new episodes of some shows on TV tonight:

NBC has new episodes of all of its comedies except MY NAME IS EARL, and THE OFFICE and 30 ROCK are extended episodes.

CBS has an all-new set of episodes for its three shows tonight.

UGLY BETTY and GREY'S ANATOMY are repeats but OCTOBER ROAD is new.

The CW's shows are both reruns.

Good Morning!

OK - Well, after finally getting out of bed around 8:00, I folded my laundry, packed my bag, sorted my mail, and organized my desk.  -And by the time I was finished it was only 8:45.  :)

*Alas, I am taking a pile of mail with me up to Westport to sort through, but at least I collated the various small stacks of mail on my desk.

DR singdaw - I was already a member of the AFM through the DC local.  I was planning on joining Local 802 anyway once I got up here - you just simply have to pay the dues to be a member of the AFM.  Getting Lestat just happened to coincide with everything else.

Having another lun ch out today with best friend John and his kids. We're also planning excursions to Best Buy and Target, so it should be a fun afternoon.

Well, time for me to head to 125th Street to catch the Metro-North train up to Westport.  *There's wireless at the theatre (and at the hotel).  -And since it's a tech, I'm pretty sure I'll have time to check in on things here throughout the day once I'm up there. ;)

And the word of the day is: EXCURSUS!
Every time Henry's alimony check is late, his EXCURSUS.

(Getting the obvious out of the way.)

Thursday morning greetings!  Payday today and our checks were delivered by 2 Easter bunnies (actually Paula & Theresa from Finance).  They were wearing fuzzy bunny ears and carrying baskets of foil-wrapped chocolate eggs.  They hippety-hopped through our workroom singing "Here Comes Peter Cottontail"  ;D

TOD -

Calamari grosses me out.

And I consider escargot to be a terrible waste of good garlic.

The term Faggots is in fact not used here (Certainly not in this State - anything could happen in Queensland) in the food sense der Brucer - It is UK origin I think.

The closest we get to scrapple is "bubble and squeak" which is also not marketed - just the term here for fried up left overs. I doubt anyone under 40 uses the term these days - or would even consider using left overs in that way.

I've had Bubble & Squeak!! I didn't know it was fried up leftovers, though. Thanks for filling me in, DR TOMOVOZ. I had it at a restaurant in West Hollywood long ago called THE TAMING OF THE STEW. Anyone remember this restaurant? It was on Santa Monica Blvd. Half vegetarian, owners British. GREAT FOOD! The B&S was so good that I tried to copy it at home. (I was quite the adventurous cook in those days.)

I was thinking of playing one of my favourite titles "I'm Gonna Hire A Wino To Decorate Our home" (David Frizzell)

Uh, I think one of my neighbors used that as her inspiration. Oh, SHE'S the wino? It was quite a lovely place at one time. :(

TOD - One of the exchange students who stayed with us years ago made

Okonomiyaki

It kind of sounds like the Japanese version of Bubble & Squeak.

DR LAURA has a bathroom in her backyard?  I understand the convenience, but the lack of privacy is a concern.

Quite the rage among wino decorators, I hear.

Privacy is no longer an issue in today's world, DR JRand. That is sooooo YESTERDAY!!

I love to try odd and unusual foods!!

Eel I am very fond of. Frogs legs I tried as a kid as well as chocolate covered ants.  Beef tongue, heart, chicken gizzards (fried), tripe, chicken feet...all of which I enjoy.

Pigs feet I have tried a few times but did not totally enjoy. They were store bought however, and I would image that if I were to eat home cooked pigs feet I would like them just fine. But the store bought just has way too much vinegar.

I have yet to try brains, but hope to someday.
