I'm folding it in early this evening.... I had a physical therapy treatment in the late afternoon, and I'm just letting my body relax now.

But I think that I should still BLAME DEAR JOSE !!  If he just wasn't so damned talented.....and smart......and cute......

My mother had an interesting experience with ebay this past weekend

She won an item on ebay and when the seller sent her hte invoice she jacked the price of shipping up to nearly double. My mother wrote her and questioned her on the price and the gal wrote back saying "I thought you wanted this shipped out of the country. "  The last time I checked North Dakota was part fo the United STates....

The seller was from Ohio....

Catching up from Sunday.

I attended the tapings of Beat The Clock when it was syndicated during the 70's. They film a week's worth in a day.

I was a contestant on Chain Reaction. The version without the celebrities. I won $1000.

I began my evening watching more of EASTER PARADE which I began last night. I got through Judy's melting rendition of "It Only Happens When I Dance with You," and I continue to enjoy the film and the terrific transfer.

Next, I watched HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. An okay episode this week; not up to some past ones this season, but fitfully amusing, especially the mother's story of her wedding gift not knowing she was talking about a dildo.

OLD CHRISTINE had Dave Foley and Blair Underwood as Christine's suitors. It had some good laughs tonight as well.

Good Evening!

Well... I did not have to play "Tomorrow" at all today.  Instead, I played "Let Me Entertain You" and "May We Entertain You" about 50 times.  -Which wasn't so bad.

'24' ended its suitcase bomb storyline tonight, but with the show still six weeks away from finishing its season, what could they do? Bring back a loved one in jeopardy and reinvolve the Chinese in the story, that's what. Should get us through the end of the season.

More on:

The Hills of Tomorrow.

It is in the vocal selections from the show.

Marc Heller who sings it on the above recording must use the vocal selections because only a piano is used.

And I'd have to say the spirit of Mama Rose is alive and well and living in Orlando, FL... And Columbus, OH... And Newark, NJ... And Long Island City, NY...

CSI: MIAMI had three good guest stars: Matthew Morrison, Ryan Carnes, and Ed Begley, Jr. as suspects in the scalping of a casino bigshot. Yep, pretty grisly stuff tonight.

And BTW

I showed up at Mr. Sondheim's door one Sunday morning and he invited me in and autographed the music and the Sondheim Tribute LP cover (The out of print)

DR MusicGuy - Well, if you happen to require any physical therapy during your upcoming visit to NYC, I'm sure I could make some room in my schedule for you.

...And I still feel a bit like I did this morning when I woke up: sleepy.  I took the train down to Columbus Circle, and as I walked down to 44th Street, I could just feel the past couple of days catching up with me.  Thankfully, the room we were holding the auditions had lots of windows, so it was bright and sunny.  And since the audition slots were leisurely paced, I actually was able to get a few cat naps  in throughout the afternoon.

And then since it turned out today's session was going until 7:00 instead of 6:00... I decided that I wanted to treat myself to a nice dinner after the session was done.  So, I called my friend, Jim, and asked if he wanted to go to Becco tonight.  And we did.  And the dinner, as always, was wonderful.  *And the strawberry panna cotta - WOW!

As for the Joshua Bell "experiment", there's a nice capsule version of the story over at playbillarts.com.

And unless Mr. Bell's face was totally covered up, I'm pretty sure I would have noticed him.

PICTURE WITHOUT A CAPTION:

:)

I just saw that clip from "The Love Boat" the other night.  -The ending with the scarf is a hoot!

And believe the real caption would be something like: "I thought I'd just drop for dinner."  -Followed by everyone in the dining room giving her a standing ovation.

Well, I'm going to head to bed.  Thankfully, I don't have to be on the 9:07 train tomorrow morning, but I do have to be on the 10:07 one.  So...

Goodnight.
