DR Ben, forgot about Mary.  DO love that one!  In visits to the Twin Cities, I have been driven past the house that was used as the exterior shot, and of course the statue tribute downtown.

I've never tried to recreate that hat-throwing moment, though I'm sure some have!

I always liked the theme from LASSIE, although the show, itself, got to be a little tired.

I always liked the theme from LASSIE, although the show, itself, got to be a little tired.

One day in the late late 1960's when LASSIE was on a runaway motorboat with the pilot knocked out, I told myself:  "Myself," I said, "If that damned dog brings that boat into the dock, I am never watching this show again."  She did, and I haven't.  :D

Six Feet Under - great theme.  Echoes of it in "Deadwood" - I've not checked the composer.

I also like the "Upstairs Downstairs" theme Larry and "The Dutchess of Duke Street".

Any particular role in "A Chorus Line" - surely not Shiela.

Given the absurdity of my appearing in a dance piece, it can only be Cassie.  I am Stah, I tell you, A Stah!

DR ELMORE - the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream equates all of the drama surrounding your father's passing with a play and you have a starring role.  You are wishing that the "workshop" phase will end and you will get to NYC from all of these out-of-town tryouts.  You are also thinking that the ordeal is tough on your resources as well as your emotions.

Need any women?

I always wondered what career Cassie went to Hollywood for?  Music videos?  Beach Party movies?  Dance partner for Bobby on The Lawrence Welk show?

I believe I have previously related how in step aerobics class, held in a large, mirrored room, I would always pretend that I was in A Chorus Line.

Real life, but somehow just as absurd as DR elmore3003's dream!

Grandmama is of course Edith MacDonald aka Marie Blake nee Blossom Rock - sister of singing star Jeanette MacDonald.  Second best known role:  Sally the Switchboard Operator in the MGM Dr Kildare movie series.  ;D

At most auditions I always ask for lighting that is just a bit softer.  8)

I've never tried to recreate that hat-throwing moment, though I'm sure some have!

On Anthony's first trip to Minneapolis we lugged the video camera downtown and he did re-create the hat throwing. He didn't get any notice at all. As if people do that all the time!

Today is Miss Pricilla's Weather Day!

Hey, do we know if this is an early AM thing, or what?  Hoping it can be captured and archived somewhere for all of HHW to view.

PS:  DR Ben, very glad to hear you and DH Anthony had a nice weekend getaway.

DRs TOMovOZ and ELMORE have chosen some good ones so I will add to theirs my votes for:

The Patty Duke Show
My Three Sons
Bonanza
77 Sunset Strip

and add:

I Love Lucy
Superman (MR BK produced a great CD of music from this show)
Ben Casey and Dr Kildare
Surfside Six

You like Surfside Six?  I find its coyness so totally insipid and horrifying! What is it?

Don't worry, singdaw, I am quite harmless.  I am somewhere past ninety, and reside in a nursing home.

I cannot understand, then, why DR MBarnum is not standing under your window and baying at the moon!

Oh dear....I watched STREAMERS on one of the cable movie channels.

Mitchell Lichtenstein is very good as Richie...but watching some clips on YouTube of some productions of the stage play is painful.

Even though I didn't sleep much last night (feeling achy from a few hours of wet-vacuuming my water logged basement), I did manage to have one peculiar dream:  I was at a pool side tiki-style bar with two of my friends and I noticed that comedian/actor Jay Mohr was playing the piano.  My friends dared me to go up to him and talk to him, which I did.  And I found him to be warm and friendly and even a bit flirty, so I invited him to our table when he was done with his set.  When I got back to my friends, they were suddenly suspicious and disagreeable about Jay sitting with us and began discouraging me from getting too friendly with him.  I was getting more and more angry and began getting impatient for Jay to finish his set so I could prove that my friends were wrong.  He was playing some incredibly long John Tesh type of number and it was becoming irritating.  That's all I remember.
