Bretty -- For what my two cents are worth, we of the LA HHW contingency really would love to have you join us at Musso & Frank's.
Most folks on here are SERIOUS foodies (not that there is anything wrong with that), but even if M&F's isn't the greatest meal you've ever had, the company will MORE than make up for it.
Good evening dear DR Cason..... Good and lovely evening DRs......
I somehow feel like I must be the lone voice in the wilderness here, regarding the food at Musso & Frank.
I happen to think it is very good, because it is honest, traditional American cooking using good ingredients. They have not tried to satisfy each passing phase and trend that goes around, but stick with a (proudly) traditional and old-fashioned bunch of selections.
I became really tired of restaurants foisting off 2 ounces of seared (cold in the middle) tuna perched on the top of cellophane noodles...which are sitting on the required "bed of arugala".... and with a few drops of a chile flavored oil on the outside edges of the plate..... and all for only $32.00 .
Pounded Steak with Country Gravy...... now that is food!!
