I'll try to post a few photos, but they don't really give you that great of an idea of the office.  This is the building. It's the Frances Building, built as luxury offices in 1917 and named after the building's owner. My office is on the second floor. It's the two sets of larger windows on the far left of the building

The building next door is the Orpheum

This is one corner of the office and a window, the curtains are going and the carpet is going. The wood goes all the way around the office area (as opposed to the secretary's area)

This is part of the conference room. The wood on three walls is like the office. The wall you can see here is designed to hang art with lights that can be adjusted to highlight the art

This isn't that great, but it's a view from the front door through to the secretary's area

Cilla are you the one replacing the carpet & curtins, or is that part of the lease agreement?

They repaint all areas that are painted and replace all the carpet with the paint and carpet I chose today.  They also pay all utilities (except phone) provide all maintenance, cleaning and free high speed wireless internet

This office is 900 Square feet. So there is a lot of furniture to buy. Good thing I get along so well with the scratch and dent guy! I got him to drop the price on a leather sofa today $50 farther than he wanted to. When he asked why, I said because it was hot out. He laughed and said "Ok".

Speaking of hot. The air conditioning didn't work in the building we are now in today. And since you can't open the windows in the building the temperature was 89 degrees in there by about 11:00 AM - so they told us to go home.  I have lots to do tomorrow, I'm hoping that the air is fixed, but I'm not confident about that.  It did give me a chance to shop and apply for a small business loan. With all this space, I need to buy furniture!

Sort of a light taupe for the walls and a carpet that you have to see, it's light but has specks of lots of different colors in it.

Sounds nice, and the carpet should hide stains well.

I was going to wait, but everywhere I go it seems someone is asking me for a job. So, I may do it sooner than I planed, at least part time. It all depends on the cash flow.

Thanks everyone. This office will be much nicer than the office I had planned on renting in the Orpheum and the building is much nicer. The manager seems to know everything about everybody, but that isn't all bad I guess

You don’t have to leave the building to have your hair cut.

It looks like a very nice building.  I watched a good portion of the Sioux City video.  I would have watched it all except I got tired of clicking on play every half second.

DR Danise - Thanks again for keeping us all updated on how things are going for you and your mother.  It really does sound like you're doing what you need to do, and that you're not "freaking out".  You're there for your mom and that's all that counts right now.
