Woman: I'd like to order a footstone for my husband.

Man: Footstone?

Woman: He was a podiatrist!

I went to a different office furniture store today and the salesman really irritated me. He said he needed to see the space then he could tell me everything I need and he handed me a catalogue that didn't fit at all with what I told him I had in mind.   Don't think I'll go back there

he sounds a bit money hungry for my liking...

FJL has lost Internet connectivity.

Does that mean I have to come over now?  ;)

Otherwise, just tell him if you happen to connect with him otherwise to:

1) Unplug the modem.  *Just pull the A/C adapter out from the back of the unit.
2) Unplug the router.   *Just pull the A/C adapter..
3) Unplug the phone/cable from the modem.
4) Wait ten seconds.
5) Plug the phone/cable back in.
6) Plug the modem back in.
7) Plug the router back in.
8) Wait a few seconds for it to reboot.

Personally I applaud that business owner.  Any restaurant owner, or store owner, or any owner of a private business has a choice not to serve/wait on anybody they choose, whether or not their reason is sound.

So you have no problem with a business owner refusing to serve Jews?

And DER BRUCER heard some language that made him flinch??? Did I get that right? Oh, MY!!!

Using imply where infer was intended, double negatives, split infinitives, sentences ending with propositions, who instead if whom - just appalling!

I am supposed to receive a new modem tomorrow since my internet is wonky.  But I am not a priority...

I suggested to Troy at Comcast that they find a different way to tell me that.

I  watched it several decades ago on the late Saturday night movie on Channel 8....

A nice "We have flagged you for VIP status, however, there are quite a few others on the list" would have been nice.
