Good morning!

Pretty morning a slightly warmer. I had the best night's sleep I've had in ages last night, so the slight warmth and a long night's sleep make this day seem glorious.

Sorry to read about your accident, DR Tomovoz. I hope it doesn't keep you from being able to rest.

I know I will get to JANE EYRE at some point today.

I had the DVR record BILLY ROSE'S DIAMOND HORSESHOE with Betty Grable which I had never seen before. I'll probably start the afternoon with that. The credits and first moment or two showed the color to be disappointingly mundane.

I read the first chapter in HENRY VIII AND HIS COURT yesterday, and it's clear I'm going to enjoy this biography thoroughly. Thanks to DR Elmore for making the recommendation.

Good morning, all!  This has been a self-indulgent weekend and I slept late.  Again.  Tomorrow, I'm back to a schedule because on May 29, whether I want it or not, I've got jury duty.  I do not want it.  Having been sequestered on a case, I never want to sit on a jury again.

Well, DR Tomovoz has his bad leg and I have my bad back.  Travel travels in threes, they say, so I wonder who's coming down with a physical ailment next?  Tommy, get well fast! I have to call an orthopedist tomorrow and set up an appointment.  Thank God I still have the Ibuprofen.

DR Danise, we'll keep you company as long as you want us to.  As a person who grew up in a house full of ghosts, I'm grateful there have been no signs of my dad hanging around.  I  think no signs of your mother is a very good thing.

The saga of the guidelines continues, and that's the main objective today.  I think today I'll listen to Ponchielli's La Gioconda as I work.  The plot is insane but the music is glorious.

I would like to hear Sir Lancelot's version of the GILLIGAN'S ISLAND theme. I am a fan of his.

TBS interviewed the writers of the song when TBS was doing a new version of it for their GILLIAN'S ISLAND reality show.

Yes, you heard me right...and it ran for 2 seasons! This was the show that gave me hope that reality shows would soon be a thing of the past. (Boy, was I wrong!)

Anyway, the songwriters whipped the song out on a few hours. Seems like they said The Professor and Mary Ann weren't cast yet, so they wrote the line "and the rest". I should ask the producer who interviewed them.

We slept in, too. That was the first time in about a month we've been able to sleep that late. Now, time for coffee!

And I am off to work again.

(Hopefully not on self-checking today - I spent four hours working that detail yesterday, along with all of Friday's shift, and that's enough for now.)

Wikipedia, ever the bastion of accuracy, states "played in more of a minor chord."  I'm so glad the "experts" who were working on the Frances Farmer article moved on Gilligan's Island.  ;)

The very same, played by James Caan in FUNNY LADY.

A friend just called and needs me to come over this afternoon to recalibrate his TV. His lover claims that the new HD-DVD player is not matched to the TV correctly, so I'll head over there after lunch to give it a tweak.

Heading down now to get lunch started.

JRand, Dakota, Singdaw, Jennifer & Danise-Thanks for the puppy vibes.

Jose-Thanks you for the sweet compliments.

DR elmore healing back vibes.  Have you ever gone to physical therapy?  I have an assortment of exercises that have helped my back tremendously.  I should really get a new mattress, I’m sure that would work wonders.

Edi thanks for the Heath link.  I loved THE BIG VALLEY.  I remember how excited I was to watch the first episode, heck a western starring one of my favorite actresses & I always liked Richard Long.  And then there was a surprise bonus, Heath.  I had a major crush on him.

Hi, Jane!  Hope everything's OK with Sherlock.

Richard and I bought a TempurPedic mattress several years ago.  It's done wonders for his back and mine.  He also does stretching exercises that do more good than the years and years of chiropractic he went through.

Rob and I are off to shop...Bye for now!
