Right now, I'm watching a show on The Discovery Channel called "Tokyo's Sky City."  The description, according to tvguide.com, is:  Examining plans for a building that would be a mile high and incorporate 24 steel, concrete and glass "plateaus," each 40 stories high and stacked on top of each other.  They're inventing techniques to build the building.  There's another building being built right now called Taiwan 101 (it'll have 101 floors).  Taiwan 101 is kind of a test building for the techniques that will be used for Sky City.  It's going to be on again tonight at 1:00 am (actually Thursday morning).  I'm going to tape it to see the whole thing!

And with this post, I'm tied with MBarnum at 452 posts each (and he's off-line, too)!  One more and I'll be 12th highest poster (he said with a maniacal laugh)!!

Honey, the last time I was considered "chicken," dinosaurs still roamed the earth!

Now can I remember anything. I don't think we have ice in OZ except in drinks. (A contintent without a permanent snowline).  We might be able to provice an Olympic figure skating champion if the other skaters all fall down! We've done in speed skating.
Congratulations and welcome BEN. (Have I missed anyone).
Welcome to Evil Twin. Identical twins too!
My favourite skating moment was by non skater Wayne Sleep. Wonderful routine a few years back.

Ok...I am performing in a show this weekend in NYC where I am imitating 14 FAB. stars.  Should I include Donna Murphy, cough, and then make an announcement that she has the flu and say that her understudy is going on?  Is it too mean.  I adore Donna Murphy and I don't know if it is funny or mean?

It's funny - do it!  Late-night denizens, that's what we got here.  All those people who went to bed early probably thought we wouldn't top 300 posts tonight.  We showed them, we did, and the evening isn't over for another hour.

TD, I think you should introduce your member to everyone here.  Knowing your member as I do I welcome your member, who I feel will be a good addition to all the other members.

Those are indeed warm words of welcome!   ;)

Just remembered. Those early posts from Ron and BK. I think I had been talking to my sister (who has just returned from the road to Bali. I may also have been eating my evening meal. I had just left the computer on I guess. Nothing personal.
Thanks Ron for the photos of your four legged friends.
WEL: Still giving some thought to your biography question.  Best autobiographical books that I have read are those by Dirk Bogarde. Has there been a good one on Bobby Darin yet? Which of course was a question begging for a Kevin Spacey connection.

I don't think that it's a Chrisina Crawford take on Bobby, though, the book has been out of print for a while. . .maybe Ebay has one or two. . .

Thank you JoeSPiano.  Nice to be here.

<cough>.. It's don't forget the other "s" in there...

ahem... <cough>...

And speaking of coughs...

Well, you could make a running bit of it...  The first time you cough, you could say Donna Murphy's u/s is going on.  Then the next time you cough, you could say Bernadette Peters' u/s is going on.   Then the next time you cough, you could say that Emily Skinner's u/s is going on... Of course, you really don't have to cough to say that Emily Skinner's u/s is going on... -Now that's mean!  -And I've played for Emily!

-Oh, and you could always delve into the opera world... Teresa Stratas, Aprille Millo (I still remember that one performance here in DC where she literally walked off the stage in the middle of the opera... She just felt she wasn't singing well that night.  They had to call her cover in!)
