Our company begins its summer hours program today.  Employees in Group A get to leave at 12:30 today, Group B leave early next Friday, and so on and so on until after Labor Day.

I am in Group B so I have to wait a week, but the good part is that so many people are missing for the rest of the afternoon that one can do not much more than goof off.

Aside from the fact that, of those who are left, no one is going to approach the crazy guy, sitting in his office, clapping his hands and singing!    ;)

Yo, Gang!

Well, where the HELL have i been??

Just got home last night from The Cabin... tonight begins yet-another (last until October...) mrathon weekend for my Master's Degree. I managed to complete a 17-page paper for tonight - one more to go before I leave for incarceration.

Then, make-up's for missed classes on Monday and Tuesday nights - those papers will be dashed off right before class...

PLUS - I'm doing ANOTHER Art As Lifework, Life As Artwork series beginning June 10/17/24 in Eagle Rock (info at www.blissfulsoul.com), before heading back up to the Cabin, for serious repairs - whatta winter I had up there - floods, leaks, plumbing disaster, electrical disasters, fallen trees (yes, one took out my tool shed...), all sandwiched between concurrent efforts at an MA and BA.

And I finally started vocalizing (In the car, actually, during long drives...) for this gig I have in mid-July in Seattle. Oy! Keeps me youn. I guess.

And how are YOU?

Does anyone want to whip off a 17 page paper on "Double Entendre and Unseemly Insinuation at HHW"?

Went to check on paypal payments and got a server error - not such a good thing with a company like paypal.  I'd imagine their phone lines will be VERY busy until this is fixed.

Didn't sleep quite as late as the last two days, but still got a good night's sleep, albeit with weird dreams.

The sun is trying to break through the overcast sky and it looks like it will succeed.

Our very own Rodzinski interviews Raul Esparza from COMPANY, and also interviews B.D. Wong on his performance in Skip's show HERRINGBONE at Williamstown Theatre Festival this month.

Rodzinski - Skip says thanks so much!!!

Mayhaps that was during his summer vacation?

OK, weirdness on the web department:  HHW just asked me to sign in again (even though I just posted a moment ago), and then thanked me as the "newest member" with some gobbledy-gook string of letters when I did.  When I got here I was recognized as me.  Whew.

I also got the server error on PayPal when I went to pay for an auction this morning.  Of course the joke is you need to access their site to get their phone number, and even then they don't make it easy to find.

Ben's "No One is Alone" is the new Barbara Cook album, released last week by DRG.

And the word of the day is: PAWKY!
Sorry, BK, but there is no such place as Paw, KY.

There is, however, a place known as Paw Paw, KY, close to the border with Virginia.  The estimated population there is 3076.

Founded when all of the males of Walla Walla, WA migrated south for the winter.

Friday media report:

CD(car) - audiobook, The Light in the Window by Jan Karon

CDs - Jane Monheit's Taking a Chance on Love and In the Sun and Josh Turner's Your Man.  These 2 singers were unfamiliar to me until Sunday's broadcast of the National Memorial Day Concert on PBS.

DVD - Wordplay, "a journey into the world of Will Shortz, the crossword puzzle editor at The New York Times."
