Terrible news.  He's supposed to go to a party with me.

OH! OH! OH!

Well, it's not in stone yet, DR elmore.  Patrick just happened to catch me as I was leaving, and he asked if I could keep Saturday night open, so...  I'll know by tomorrow afternoon whether it's a go or a no.

I hope you noticed, Larry, that JoseCanYousee ignored BOTH of us in regard to that "job".

I mean...if "Gigi" couldn't go to the reservoir for tea with Gaston, how on earth are we to take JoseCanYouSee's going there for a "job"?

I did not ignore either of you.  I clearly stated in an earlier post that I meant to type "jog" not "job".

However, if it give you a vicarious thrill thinking that I went to Central Park for a "job", well...  ;)

Well... Off to the Schoenfeld to go over the Key 3 book for A Chorus Line.  And then it looks like I'll be doing the Sunday and Wednesday matinees for a stretch.  :)

Laters...

So, DR Jose, should DH Richard and I plan on seeing A Chorus Line on Sunday, July 1?

Hmmm... I'll look into that for you.

*If you've seen the show before, I'd suggest seeing something new.  But I appreciate the thought.

DR Elmore- ;D ;D

One of my favorite HHW moments was my first trip to NY, and how special & exciting you made it.

Both trips to NY were wonderful, the second one special in a different way & I met so many more DR's.

Gatherings in Portland, L.A. & Seattle were also great.  It would be wonderful if we could all meet for one big party, someplace where Sherlock would also be included :D

I don't know why this one worked and the others didn't.  Thanks.

If you go to the main website link, http://www.flyergroup.com/, you need to scroll down to the blue bar that says "Flyer Idol."  Clicking on those words (not the link "College is expensive. ...more>>") will take you to where you can read the essays and vote. :)

DR George - Orchestra subs names are never listed anywhere.  The only ones who get listed in the program are the "primary" players for each position in the pit.  And even then, if someone leaves the show, and a new "primary" comes in, it may take another Playbill re-printing or two to get the name in the program.

However, some shows that have small bands will post the musicians on the same board in the lobby with the actors.  Avenue Q does this.  However, again, only the primary people are listed, none of the subs.  The only person in the pit to get listed out front is the conductor for that evening's performance.

However... Whether you're in the program or not, you still get paid the same.  And minimum right now, ain't bad.  :)

Thanks for the info!

In my sleep deprived state I’m having difficulty singling out my most special moments here.

I began posting while I was recovering from surgery, figuring once I felt better I would check the site out occasionally.  Back then I had 3 cats including the “MY” Bogie and the dog of my heart, Echo, and many more non furry family members.  The support through those losses has been very special.  I also consider myself fortunate to share in the painful & joyous times of current and past DR’s, all too numerous to mention.

Representing all those moments was my excitement to post, the moment I got off the phone, and share the news Danise had family, knowing the pure joy I was feeling would be shared by all the good people here.

I too can’t look at cherry coke, or a chef’s hat, without smiling.

My absolutely most favorite HHW moments have been meeting Jane (and DH Keith), JMK (and DW Betsy), TCB, Jed, Ann, MBarnum, Cillaliz, Tomovoz (and DP Colin), PennyO, FJL (and DP Skip) and our very own BK live and in person!! :-*

Hmm...

Finally watching last night's episode of "Traveler" courtesy of the DVR...  :-\  Another case of good actors spouting bad dialog.

Thanks to all for the continued support for Amanda.  Yes, I think voting has ended for this week...I think.  But she is in first place.

Wade Wingler is a friend of mine.  His wife Jodi is playing the Fairy Godmother in CINDERELLA and has been in many shows with me.....unless Wade and Amanda are the FINAL two, things will remain friendly.

Netfilx delivered the first season of THE OFFICE to me to day and I have watched the first 6 episodes...what a fun show! I am so addicted to it and until BIG BROTHER starts in July, it is the only show I am currently watching on network TV...or even cable TV for that matter (now that 77 Sunset Strip and Surfside 6 are no more on my cable system....dang them all to heck!)

That would be better than a Mexican-Japanese feast, I am thinking.

DR Jose, you changed your AIM buddy list music...when your AIM name pops up on my list it sounds like tinkle bells.

It gave me a start.

DR MattH - Have you heard any further updates in regards to what's happening with Spirit Square and the McGlohon Theatre?  The fall SETC conference will be back there this September.  Well, it's supposed to if the place hasn't been torn by then.  Just wondrin' what the "local news" is saying since there's been lots of speculation elsewhere.

No decisions made yet, but I'll keep you posted since you have a vested interest in knowing what's happening.

Adding one more:

Wow! Have you ever noticed how the girls showed lots of skin, in a very decent way, while the boys were wearing full jamies?

Being French, I never understood that "pajama party" thing! :-\
That would have been to "offensive" here at the time! I guess...

We missed them in Sioux City but have had incredibly high winds. I have a limb down in the yard and a neighbor has 2 big trees down. They were in about the same shape mine were before I had them cut down. I'm glad they got here when they did. I saw what looks like part of Jeff's tree equipment by the downed trees.  Maybe I can get a photo of his face tomorrow!

Be sure to put the next season in your queue. Season 2 of THE  OFFICE is a brilliant series of top-notch episodes. Honestly, there's not a weak one in the bunch, and be sure to watch the deleted footage for each episode because there's very funny stuff that had to be edited out due to time.

In honor of DRJOSE's working relationship with Mr Marvin Hamlisch - here is Miss Donna Loren on Shindig, singing one of his FIRST recorded hits....(Lesley Gore had the chart single).

I think the set designer and choreographer had a bit too much of the literal pill that day.  8)
