I didn't consider a one-liner a spoiler.

I assume you were unhappy with last week's Atlantis episode.

der Brucer

EXTREMELY UNHAPPY!

I skipped the one-liner until I can experience it first hand.  I was just curious if it needed a spoiler.

SPOILER:

I said to Keith, you would have preferred if it was Weiler, he laughed & said yes.  The only other character we would not want to loose is McKay.  And Beckett and McKay were good together.

All I can find is that it wasn't Paul McGillion's idea to leave.  I wonder if he will ascend & return, he is such a good soul, why not.

Many butterflies were seen and many photos taken. I may have to wait until I get my own computer back -- this one of my son's doesn't have paint, and I don't know how to smallerize the photos to fit.

He is scheduled for two episodes next season!

WIKIPEDIA

Quote
Season 3 changed the cast lineup again. Paul McGillion's Dr. Carson Beckett was killed in episode 17, "Sunday", (though only temporarily, it appears, as Joe Mallozzi stated on April 9, 2007 that he will be bringing Beckett back, alive and well, in a 2-part episode in season 4).

DerBrucer, first Mallozzi said he wasn't killing Beckett off & still did so in spite of an influx of protests from fans.  From what I have read Paul McGillion has moved to L.A. & doesn't know he will be returning to the show.

Reading the interviews with McGillion, he seems to be as caring and generous a person as Beckett.

With all this time on my hands, I've had a very busy morning already. After I read the newspaper, I went out and mowed my front lawn. Even though it was only 7:45, the air was already quite warm. (And for those of you who think it was thoughtless of me to mow the grass at such an early hour, in my defense, I do have an electric lawnmower which is very quiet.)
You could, of course, get a sheep or two.  Aside from the occasional bleating, they are very quiet, trim the yard nicely, and also provide cheap fertilizer.

And they could provide you with the raw material for a new hobby - knitting.  (Something you could do while watching television, btw - my mother was an expert at it.)

Now, as Paris is set for the prison term, Kathy is fiercely defending her first-born.

Shows how much Kathy Hilton understood the film.  Bambi is a stag.  Faline is the doe.

Unless, of course, Paris has a more complicated past life (and a nip and tuck) that we've not heard of yet.

Gee, I wonder...

He lives and works in NYC.  He was born in the Pacific Northwest (thus Seattle/Portland).  He's got two new shops running in Las Vegas.  And everyone loves New Orleans, particularly after Katrina.

That leaves Philly.  Weird, man, just weird.

Past time I should be getting dinner on the table.  Nothing special.  Hamburgers.  Fries.  Onion rings.

And gazpacho.  With crab for a garnish.

I have returned from George DeMarco's 50th birthday partay, and a swell time it was!  I enjoyed our DR Jose's company as always, and I hope he had a good time.  I saw several folks from the Singing Nun show, all of whom I've missed a lot, met some new friends of George and his partner andy Monroe, and had a lto of fn sampling the wonderful assortment of food.  I'm going to watch the last episode on disc 5 of POPULAR and pass out.

Speaking of POPULAR, how did a show this demented, surreal, and brilliant last two seasons?  I can't believe the dimwits who schedule most viewing didn't freak out out after two episodes and shut it down.  I mean, BEVERLY HILLS 90210 it ain't, and that nonsense ran forever.

The food at the festival includes:
Athenian Chicken breast,
Dolmathes - grape vine leaves stuffed with a ground beef and rice mixture
Greek Salad
Gyros
Pastitsio - the greek lasagna
Souvlaki with Pita bread - a tender shish kabob of marinated beef grilled
Spanakopita (one of my favorites) - Spinach and feta cheese pie baked in a buttery pyyllo dough

Baklava - ground nuts and spices, layered with buttered phyllo and drenched in honey syrup
Baklava Sundae - Large scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with crumbled baklava and honey glazing
Kataifi - shredded phyllo with nuts soaked in honey syrup
Koulouria - a rich butter cookie
Kourabiethes - rich almond butter cookie sprinkled with powdered sugar
Loukoumades - the Greek "honey puff" served warm and drizzled with honey and cinnamon
Melomakarona - spiced nut cookie dipped in honey
Thiples - light fried dough that's sweetened with honey

Greek Wines - including a dry white retsina, a mild rose Roditis, red and white Demestica and Mavrodaphne and more
Ouzo, Greek beer, Greek coffee and of course soft drinks

The food there sound delicious!

I am home from the Fest OPA!!!  This year I didn't drink Ouzo, but did have Vergina http://www.verginabeer.com/english/index2_en.html Mighty tasty beer, actually.  This year I got in line and learned the Greek line dance.. whew! Those songs must be about 10 minutes long, but it was fun.  I also won a silent auction (is it still winning when you pay) anyway it was a great bath set of dead sea salts, soap, body butter an incredible pewter tray that's big enough to use as a serving tray (It's sort of shaped like the triangle thingies on the Star Trek uniforms) and a huge bath towel.   After all that dancing, I'm ready for a bath with the dead sea salts...

Well, I watched (or rather suffered and endured) SWEET MOVIE. I never saw THE COOK, THE THIEF, HIS WIFE, OR HER LOVER, but I can't imagine it contained any more repugnant imagery than this movie contained. I'm no prude, but I was grossed out, turned off, and appalled.

This movie was not made for the likes of me.

I did watch an interview with the director (conducted by critic Peter Cowie), and I also watched an appreciation of the film by film scholar Dina Iordanova. Neither made it any more palatable to me.

To get the SOUR taste of SWEET MOVIE out of my head, I put in the Martin and Lewis movie bk talked about the other day - ARTISTS AND MODELS. Boy, does this have lush Technicolor! Fox should take a look at these Paramount Technicolor movies before they master any more of their Technicolor confections for DVD.

I concluded my evening with more of LIFE WITH JUDY GARLAND. I only got about 20 more minutes watched - from Carnegie Hall to her first encounter with Mark Herron. (The actor who played Mark was certainly gorgeous.)
