Side A. Very few of us ever bother playing side B so it's not necessary.

If you do have a couple of holes there and can use them on both sides, make sure they match up.

Other record anomalies: A friend of mine bought a Gary Numan album once, and one side was Gary Numan's music and the other side was mis-pressed with the music of some other unidentified band. He bought it on a trip to England, so he couldn't return it.

Fact that may interest only Tomovoz: We later found out by chance the band on the other side of the Gary Numan album was a band called Imagination. Their song "Just an Illusion" plays over the closing credits of the Bryan Brown movie F/X.

"Just An illusion" was a big hit in the UK. Of course Gary Numan was bigtime there as well. (over 30 chart hits). I suspect I only have Tubeway Army's "Are Friends Electric" and Numan's "Cars".

Good Evening!

Back from my matinee of A Chorus Line. There are still a few spots where I'm second-guessing myself, but since this was just my second show playing the Key 3 part, I guess that's not bad. -I'm just still not used to having a string part in the pit, so when I see some of the notes on the page, I keep thinking to myself, "Really? I don't remember that from last time?" In any case... I wasn't fired, so...

I did get some practice time in before the show on the Key 3 book, and I think it's going to take me a few more days to get that under my fingers. The guitar patch is a bit "touchy" - literally. For myself, I have to play it counter-intuitively. And then to coordinate the Wah-Wah foot pedal... Well... Practice, practice, practice.

And I'm also back from seeing It's A Bird! It's A Plane! It's Superman! at the York. What a fun show! And they assembled a great cast led by Cheyenne Jackson, David Rasche, Jean Louisa Kelly, Shoshana Bean, and Lea DeLaria (as Dr. Abner Sedgwick - it worked for me). With a special cameo by Mr. Charles Strouse, himself, as Perry White.

And I ended up sitting next to Joanne Worley too! -And there were a lot of other "Broadway Babies" who were there tonight after the Sunday matinees. -And before they headed off to the midnight "showing" of "Broadway Bares".

OH! And I guess I got one of the last available seats for tonight too! I got there right as the box office opened for the evening performance, and by the time I was back up at the street level, someone was putting up the "Sold Out" sign.

DR Elmore, as you can see Rodzinski allows me to sleep indoors when I visit...you might want to make note of that.

I did find out yesterday that my niece's husband's sister's husband's cousin is appearing in a play Off-Broadway. We think her stage name is Jillian Snow, although it might be Jillian Harris. Or Jill Harris....anyway, if I can figure out what play she is in I might possibley try to see it.

As for the first Broadway show I ever saw...

Well, the first "show-show" I remember seeing was one of the tours of Fiddler on the Roof at the Warner Theatre in DC. I forget who was playing Tevye.

The other "show-show" that sticks in my head is Ibsen's Ghosts at the Kennedy Center's Eisenhower Theatre. It stared Liv Ullman, with John Neville Andrews and Kevin Spacey(!).

First Broadway show on Broadway - high school trip. Three shows back-to-back... Brighton Beach Memoirs Tuesday night; Biloxi Blues Wednesday afternoon (it was in previews - very cool seeing the two shows back to back); and The Tap Dance Kid (the very young, at the time, Alfonso Ribiero was out at that performance).

*And I'm still sort of miffed that my school-mates did not want to see Sunday in the Park with George instead. -Although, when we came out of The Tap Dance Kid, I think a bunch of them had wished they chose something else.
