Today I'll be checking out the new release of DUBARRY WAS A LADY which I've read conflicting things about (the transfer, that is). I'll probably finish watching the GREY'S ANATOMY episodes on the third disc in the set.

I'll probably start on the TV series ACTION since there are only 13 episodes to view, some of which I have never seen.

And I'll watch another NANCY DREW film. It will probably be NANCY DREW, TROUBLE SHOOTER.

As someone who watches CSI: MIAMI. let me say that David Caruso must be endured (by far the weakest and most ridiculous link on the show), but the show itself features some good forensic-based plots and gorgeous cinematography.

You'd never guess from those hackneyed Caruso ham slices that the show is actually fairly high quality all around.

I just noticed that next week marks the release of the four sets of CULT CAMP CLASSICS with something for everyone from Allison Hayes fans to the original ZERO HOUR! (used as the jumping off point for the parody AIRPLANE!). LAND OF THE PHAROAHS, anyone?

Can't wait!  ;D

Well... Since I slept in today, I shall have to meet my daily posting requirement later.  Time for me to get ready to head downtown.

The non-fiction AV selector at the library where I work ordered "The Internationale."  She may purchase this, also. :D

Yay! Then you can "check it out"...literally!

I wonder which song DRs have the most recorded version of in their collections.

I remember Michael Shayne compiling versions of "Send In The Clowns".

I've done Cds of Ebb Tide and Volare (for MBarnum) and more recently, "Begin the Beguine".

My next collection may be "The Shadow of Your Smile"

I made a mix for a friend once of my many "Caravan"s. If you have any organ albums, chances are, "Caravan" is on there.

Ha! I was going to mention "Caravan", too. My partner in crime and I were thinking that or the "Hucklebuck" would be a good followup to THE INTERNATIONALE.

Also, I don't know if this has been released or not yet, but Irwin Chusid has a new Raymond Scott release. One disc is all covers od "Powerhouse". Absolutely wonderful and a release to coincide with Scott's 100th birthday.

Harry of course wrote the song Davy Jones sings in that great HEAD sequence!

Yes---this was a big break for him, as I recall. I like Harry's version even better!

Yep, the "Epics" box will find its way to me!  I can't resist any set that includes "Colossus of Rhodes"!   :)
