On June 11 I shipped a package to the UK, Dress Circle to be exact. I got an e-mail from them this morning saying it hadn't arrived. I went online and tracked the insured Global Priority package - it shows as having left LA the morning of the 12th. After that - squat. I got on the phone and finally got a "live person". He told me the international tracking system was down and I'd have to call back later. I told him the info I had and he told me, rather astonishingly, that Global Priority didn't provide day-to-day tracking and that the package takes four to ten days. I told him that I was getting off the phone to save him from a proper harangue and that I'd be calling back later when the system is up to speak to a supervisor.
These stupid yokels raise their rates two years running and the services get WORSE? Last package, which was shipped to Dress Circle via standard air post, certainly had day-to-day tracking line because I used it. Now, packages of a certain wait automatically go Global Priority, which is supposed to be a better and faster service - uh huh. Thankfully, the package is fully-insured, and I do hope they don't think I'll be waiting much longer to collect.
