Umm...   OK?      :-\

 :)

They pump the sanitized water into basins to filter back down to the water table. You all have seen LOTS of photos from there.

My "new" HP computer came with LightScribe, and I, too, am underwhelmed.  It doesn't take that long to inscribe on this model (usually about 2-3 minutes), but the contrast is really poor.

DR JMK, you are probably burning them in "Draft" mode.  You should look to see if there is a print configuration to burn at "Best" mode.  Also, if you go to the LightScribe website, you'll find that there is a download that will allow for darker contrasts.

But in the end, it's still probably not worth the effort...

And the word of the day is: ONOMASTICS!
ONO MASTICATION - the fine art of chewing up Yoko.

What, you thought that didn't have a name for it?

AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHA.

There, I feel better now.

Forgot to mention yesterday (and maybe someone else already posted), but the author of Dead Man's Cell Phone was yesterday's "Weekly Reader" on NPR (is her name Sarah Ruhl or something like that?).  Anyhoo, I found it most unseemly that she didn't have a single BK book on her "to read" list, and was instead concentrating on trifles like Ulysses and the complete works of Shakespeare.

Nobody realy reads James Joyce's ULYSSES; Homer is so much better!

DR DtM - thanks....I have NERO....but it doesn't seem to work to burn DVD's...so my internal ROM drive must not be configured to do that.

But as long as the externals work with the USB, I think I can handle it.

As long as we're being axiomatic here, let's add that not every show that is a winner has to play New York.

I just received a couple of lovely packages at my desk and after opening the first one--well, all I will say is that someone is going to get a big hug and smooch from me one of these days.  Yessiree--a big time hug and smooch!

And the other package contained seasons two and three of my new favorite TV show, SLINGS & ARROWS.  I can't wait!  (But I'll probably have to...)

Noel - When you say, "I'm merely bemused and amused that three 2007 musicals by famous writers, Curtains, The Pirate Queen and The Glorious Ones are ever-so-faintly reminiscent of mine," has this been true of any other year?  And do you believe any of these people saw or were aware of your work?

Many folks have dropped off their unwanted cats at the sewage ponds, which have then turned feral, or wild. I saw several kittens there. Here is one that seemed to frightened to run when it saw me:

He looks so much like Joshie that I wonder if that's where Joshie came from originally.

Going to see the 11 a.m. screening of HARRY POTTER this morning, so I'll be back in the afternoon with some opinions.

Looking forward to said opinions.  Maybe we can start posting spoilers (properly labled, of course).

Julie-Bella is true to her name.  We once had a black dog named Belle.

We have been without a cat for about two years now.   I am a cat person & up to then had not been without at least one cat since I was 18 & moved out of my parent’s home.

Unfortunately, having worked Rent more times than I ever intended, I've had many an encounter with the theatre groupies. It's unsettling not only to me, but certainly to the performers, who often come out onstage to find people in the front row who are dressed in wild, ridiculous costumes of show merchandise (from which, sadly, my business benefits) if not costumes of the characters themselves! Yes, people do come to the show dressed as Angel, Mimi, Roger... My favorite was the guy who came dressed as Luther Creek as Roger. That's right...he was dressed as an understudy going on in a leading role. Now that's devotion....
Can you imagine the shock if this happened during Naked Macbeth!

It is quite dark and cloudy today, which made it nice for a walk at the sewage ponds. Then I cut the grass when I came home.

Lizard walks? Sewage ponds??   ??? ??? ???
