Which "on location" film most made you wish to visit that place. (and did you ever do so?)

After seeing THE PRISONER TV series in Jr. High, I was obsessed with finding the place it was filmed. They never listed the location until the last episode, and since this was pre-VCR, I scrambled to write down the long Welsh name: Portmeirion, Penrhydeudraeth, Wales.

It wasn't until I was in college and discovered Michelin guides that I was able to find it. And that's where I went when I graduated college.

I also went there with my DH once when I had a film at the Latin American film festival in London and we took a special side trip to go there. We also spent some time in the Cottswolds and Oxford, where I showed him some of my favorite Lewis Carroll haunts.

Portmeirion is where I want my ashes scattered. If I go first, at least my DH will have a nice holiday!

I have a friend who tried to drive his Mazda RX-7 through a flooded area (read "creek" or "river") once. He was surprised when it didn't make it. Made a real mess of his car.

I actually have the day off! I take very few days completely off, but this is one of them. Like MUSIC GUY, I've been going through boxes and throwing more out. Haven't I already done this?? I'd SWEAR it clones itself. JOSE, do you find that no matter how much you get rid of you still have the same amount? Too bad it doesn't work that way with money. (Well, maybe for Bill Gates.) In any case, a friend, who's also taking the day off, and I are going to lunch and a movie--GOLDEN DOOR. It'll be fun.

Thanks for the tip, DR Ben. That hotel would be comparable in price to the one on 46th St. where I've stayed since 2004. I'm making myself nuts about this and am still very interested in finding an apartment, Sept. 29-Oct. 7.

My parents are in town from Florida today, so I will be meeting up with them later. We plan to tour the Metropolitan Museum of Art. They have a special exhibit right now - "Impressionist and Early Modern Paintings: The Clark Brothers Collection." Seems these two brothers were rival collectors, and always tried to top the other by adding a new masterpiece to their private rival collections. We'll probably also go through the new Greek and Roman Galleries. Then find a bite to eat somewhere. Should be fun.

Do they do that set up only once and film ALL the entrances for the movie, or do they do they same set up on different days for different actors?

If the entrances involve different actors, then it would be different days, unless they could schedule (doubtful) all those actors on one day.

elmore was there, along with Michael Cassara who was overseeing the EPAs, but is also our show's casting director. He knows exactly what I'm looking for, so I'm sure we'll get some callbacks for my sessions. But, I'm sure I won't hear anything from him until he's out from under the EPAs.
