My cat has learned how to use the TV remote. He seems to be rather fond of the Spanish channel.

Are you making up words to go with the soap opera, DR Sandra?

Remember when we did that with that Japanese soap opera that time we got a cable channel in a motel room somewhere?

There are two parties in Sioux City, at Wal-Mart and at Barnes & Noble.  I know Barnes & Noble here had 1500 copies coming in. Wonder how long it will take them to sell out.

They had close to that number in fargo...

My guess is not long...

Well, Miss Karen, you've done it again.  I waited until midnight on your birthday so that I could share the fudge bars Skip brought home, but once midnight came along, I figured your East Coast birthday was over and that you weren't going to show up.  So if I can't sleep tonight from all that caffeine in the chocolate, I'll know who to blame and it ain't Jose.

Uh-oh, you may have dreams about DRs MusicGuy and  Jose frollicking atop a giant fudge bar with DR Jason looking aghast or agape or something like that as he realizes they are way over the daily point total -- hey, wait a minute that is too similar to that Baked Alaska dream, so never mind....

But you will need to let us know tomorrow if you have any wild dreams from eating all MY fudge so late at night ... If I were mean and spiteful and catty and cruel,  I'd say you deserve a tummy ache, but you'd NEVER hear that from me... :-*

Next came another MOONLIGHTING episode. In this one, a painter who seems to have been fixated on Maddie is found dead after painting a very lifelike picture of Maddie. This was another good mystery with some really nicely placed surprises.

One of my great crushes John Calvin was a guest star.

MattH, I am jealous...

I would love to see Moonlighting again.

DR Tomovoz, I am glad to see you are hooked on moving into the area of Arabic pop music! It really swings!

My work here is done.

I have a tape of middle eastern inspired music I would love to convert to CD and it is called "Voice of the Turtle". Intriguing music. I have had the tape for years and made a copy of the tape so I could keep the one copy in good condition.

I would love to stay and play, but my birthday was so full of fun and adventure that I'm about to fall asleep at the keyboard ...

THANKS again for all the wonderful birthday wishes -- oh, what a nice birthday present from you, Mr. P, to see you back posting on HHW on July 20th!

Well kids, don't know why I stayed up so late, definitely  not to go to the bookstore.  I'm going to pack it in and get some sleep. Lots to do tomorrow.

Lovely evening tonight here in Fargo, DBF and I went downtown to the street fair and I purchased a hand-tooled leather belt at a very reasonable price and it is very nice quality.

We walked around a bit and looked at some of the other vendors and watched a street performer juggling with glass balls. He was very good. As DBF would say, he would pick him any day over Boy Shakira on America's Got Talent.

The then roamed to the Dempsey's Pub and listened to Poitin rock the pub and they were quite good. WE stayed until the smoke started to bother my sinuses and then headed back.

Hmm... I hesitate to think what that would do to DR JRand's Dream-O-Matic 5000.

Miss Karen, I just ran out to get you flowers so that we can make up and...

Oh, poo, I guess I just missed Miss Karen.  Well, I guess I'll have to keep these flowers for myself and get her some when she's in NYC, assuming it's still her birthday then, that is.

May I share some juvenalia with you department:

I wrote my first musical when I was probably 9 or 10.    My 10 year old lyric:

Always tomorrow
There's always the next day
To think of your problems
And then try to solve them
Yes, tomorrow never comes
It turns into today
And when today arrives, just turn away

Scarlett's song from your GWTW?

The Harry Potter partying that I will be involved in will consist of parking the car, getting a cup of coffee, and waiting until DR Sandra's number comes up so she can get her book, and then coming home. And going to bed.

It could be worse, like:

"Mom, where are the car keys?"
