Perhaps reading that I have crossed to the Dark Side and have been listening to Arabian music has frightened DR TCB away.

At last you have a response to your Pirate question DR JMK. Someone does read your posts.

I suspect I can live without the DVD set or ever seeing "The Pirate" again.

Imagine the thought of being trapped on that Desert island with the wrong list!

Edi-As promised, our thoughts on SAVING GRACE.

We weren’t thrilled with it.  Like Matt H we will give it one more chance to see how the show evolves.   We are hoping the pilot set the premise for the show, allowing us to see the before & after Grace.  If Grace isn’t more likable in the next episode chances are that will be it for us.  As is we didn’t find anything endearing about her.

DR JoseSPiano - It is interesting that you still feel that way, going by the house in Turtle Bay, even after meeting and working with the estimable SJS!

Edi-I have a Closer question for you.

Possible spoiler:

At the end of the last episode she is curled up on the bed exhausted.  Is that a lead into a future storyline or simply how the episode ended?

Keith thinks she might be pregnant.  I said I hope not, between the fever, wine & cold meds, which would be scary.  I don’t expect you to comment on this statement. ;D

Yes, it is part of a storyline that will carry over into at least the next 4 episodes.

I just loaded a new episode, 309---directed by Kevin Bacon. He did a very good job!

DR Elmore, Jose and you Broadway people...

Anyone familiar with a producer named Joe Harris? I saw his credit list on imdb, but that's about all I could find about him. Any icebreakers you can offer? My DH is interviewing him tomorrow.

The Margaret Whiting interview went very well, and he got to meet her husband, Mr. Jack Wrangler.

Sitting on my couch like so much fish and watching a DVD I'd rather turn off - That's Dancing.  Trying to decide what's after that.

Thursday evening greetings from beautiful Stow, OH!  Actually, I don't know whether Stow is beautiful or not, because I'm out in the boonies on my way to Cleveland for a meeting tomorrow at the Foundation Center.  Brought my mom along for the ride and we just had a little dinner at TGI Friday's and are about to crash.

I'm using the computer in the hotel lobby and someone else is waiting to use it.

Vibes to all and goodnight!

I'm guessing that this is the point---why she needs redemption so badly....you have to start there for her to make a change. But, I'm not that big on stories of moral redemption...it's not reward enough for me to stick with a character I don't like. I thought it was pretty edgy for TNT and nice, visually. I'll give it another few weeks and see where it goes. The first episode is always tough because there's so much character establishment that you can't get a whole lot of plot in. But I also remember that I didn't like The Closer pilot and they fixed a lot of things that were annoying in future episodes.

BK is in the house! Bruce, I told our producer that she really should interview you about Li'l Abner. I think your personality would really enhance the show.

And do you know Joe Harris?

Wow---what radio station is that?

They play her a lot on my favorite Atlanta station, which you can listen to as a live stream:

They play opera, rock, folk, Broadway, country, comedy, world music----it's all intermingled but it all works!

We liked the Closer pilot & found Brenda flawed but endearing.  The show has evolved nicely & Brenda, while still flawed-lol, has become even more endearing.  Grace on the other hand may be saved, but sadly never enjoyable to watch.

I have satellite radio.  Mostly I listen to the 40’s station, sometimes the 50’s or blues & jazz.  I’m not keen on local radio here, all the good ones were converted to talk radio.  When I first got the satellite programming I was looking forward to the classical stations, to my surprise I found I mostly stay with the 40’s.  I skip around a lot though, listening to whatever catches my fancy.  There is also a Broadway shows station.
