So...

Has anyone given any thought to the gathering(s) that will take place on September 30?

I'm guessing there might be a dinner that night between Such Good Friends and The Brain from Planet X.

And I'm guessing there might be some sort of soiree after The Brain from Planet X - which may or may not combine with the closing night festivities for the show.  -And when does The Brain have to strike and load out?  That night?  or the next morning?

Just wondrin', plannin'.

It looks great - love the new avatar.

Hmm... I just reviewed my schedule for the next week.  I guess since I will be busy for the next five days, I should go ahead and treat myself to the Park today.  Yeah, that's the ticket!

When I worked, I naturally lived for summer because of the (usually) extended vacation time (Some summer I had to be in school to keep my teaching credentials up-to-date). But now that I live in a perpetual "summer," it's my least favorite time of the year. It actually has nothing to offer positively for me that I can't get in the other months especially without the added expense of electricity to run the A/C, etc.

I guess the love for summer starts very young, when you would get the whole summer off from school.  Now, summer is great if you're at a nice resort, the beach, even the park.  But for having to get around the hot, sticky City, the subways, the general grime that a humid day seems to paste onto everything -- not my cup of tea, either.  I'd be happy if it were a nice even 65-70 degrees year round.

Oh!  The funny thing about one of the upcoming NYMF shows that inquired about my availability to MD for them... Their performance space is The Acorn.

I have a lead on a sublet - expensive, but less than anything else I've found - still looking, but this one is in a great location - in fact, it seems like it would be very close to FJL's home environment.  Most importantly, it has A/C and wireless.

Location is everything.  "Next to FJL's apartment" is the real high rent district of the City, being the most desirable locale of all.  It says so in the Times (LA and NY).

Good morning dear Esteemed, frustrated, rested, frenzied, ravishing, and rankled BK --

Oh grand Mensch, I wanted to let you (and the dear studlies and lovelies) know that I will be away from home, from tomorrow (Sunday) until I return on this coming Friday (17th).  I will not have computer access while I'm gone, so know that thoughts and vibes are being sent out to you daily.

And I promise to take care of my hickey, and use sunscreen!

Happy vacation vibes to DR MusicGuy!

Dog Bosco is now in the hands of the vet clinic, about to go under the knife...or whatever they use to extract a bad tooth.

I don't mind saying that I am most nervous, even though it is a simple procedure, cause they always have that paper you have to sign to make you  aware that the pet could pass away while under anesthesia.

Anyway, I can pick him up later this afternoon.

Safe and quick recovery vibes for DD Bosco.

And finally, the cutie-patootie from days gone by:

Jorge, I just noticed the tag line -- peppermint.  LOL -- he did look like a little peppermint in that red and white striped jacket. HHWers, this is from his first time on stage -- and we've got the priceless video of it all. You ought to see his face the first time he hears the laughter and applause (and see him and the little girls in his group milk it throughout the show). A ham was born!

summer is great if you're at a nice resort, the beach, even the park.

I've often noticed how advertisers think that that's how women spend their summers! All leisure! (Maybe they're all teachers with nothing else to do.)

After living on the East Coast for a few years I came to dread summers. Like DR MATTH, I kept saying, "I hate summer." I don't mind summer quite as much these days, but I always welcome the first sweater-donning of the season. "Yay! Fall!"

Yeah. I've thought the same thing, too. And I have a GREAT BIG SURPRISE for you, too. (BK knows it, but I'm sure he won't tell.) I'll tell you when we finally meet in person, whenever that is. (BK knows so many of my secrets that he probably doesn't even know which one I'm thinking of.)

As it happens, while our general area is high-rent, our apartment building itself is fortunately in the reasonable Manhattan Plaza.

The new computer is still working out its kinks. Vista will take some time to be comfortable.

I bought a new computer last year and was so annoyed at all the "kinks" that I went back to using my old one. The new one now sits in a box, shoved aside. Who has time to deinstall all that cr*p? I think I'll buy an Apple.

Wow - "reasonable" in the same sentence as "Manhattan".
Proof that everything is relative.

DR Juls, I mean, Julie ~ I had a dream about posting on HHW last night -- or I think it was this morning after I woke up early (a long story regarding Deuce and a skunk -- and it wasn't Pepe, Francois) and tried to go back to sleep after posting a few musings this earky am. Any way, I was posting a long (surprise) post about you -- a really funny story or so I thought in my dream (but can't remember it now) and I kept referring to you as Juls (Jewels) -- like Juls said this and Juls did that in the story.  That's all.

In re-reading that, it's most lame (and not the gold one) -- but I guess my point is I will now always be thinking of you as Juls when I see your posts. And if you've always hated Juls, I'm sorry I brought it up.

LOL, DR Miss Karen!  I was just wondering if anyone else had HHW dreams - I'm so relieved to find out I'm not the only one!

BTW, fall is my favorite season, too.  May I join the sorority?

DH Richard and I will be in town all week, DR Jose.  I have a work-related conference at the workplace of DR Ben on Oct. 5 & 6.
