Did my pictures cause us to go widescreen? Everything looks normal from my view on AOL.

Yesterday was spent at my sister Sue's home in Aumsville as she had my grand niece and nephew Taylor and Benjamin for the weekend. Sue had asked me to keep an eye out for Barbie dolls and clothes for Taylor at garage sales...well, I certainly did that and her is Taylor enjoying the boon!

Hey! We had that Barbie house when I was growing up!

I felt this had a nice sentiment for a Sunday evening.

A Woman's Poem
[/size] [/b] [/u]

He didn't like the casserole
And he didn't like my cake,
He said my biscuits were too hard
Not like his mother used to make.
I didn't perk the coffee right
He didn't like the stew,
I didn't mend his socks
The way his mother used to do.
I pondered for an answer
I was looking for a clue.
Then I turned around and
smacked the shit out of him...
Like his mother used to do.

Oh you do make me laugh!!  I wish I could make your pain go away!!!

Is that a euphemism, DR Cillaliz?

No, LOL, the grout along the tub looks really black, like it may have mold and need to be cleaned.  I have home repair on my brain

I don't know.  I just asked John Lennon and he thought it looked widescreen too.

Seriously, no one else thinks it is in widescreen?

Okay, go to the top of page 14, look at it, and then click down to twelve and then again to Page 8.  You don't see any difference?

Well, I feel better.  I had the guy across the hall come in and look at Page 8, Page 12 ,and then Page 14.  He says 14 is much wider.

So, I guess there is something wrong with my computer.  At least, it isn't my head.

Of course, the guy across the hall already thinks I'm a fruit loop, so maybe he was humoring me.

It does if your popularity can sustain an occasional hit in order to keep table turn-over high. The entire time you occupy the table waiting for your friend is lost revenue to the business.

der Brucer

Der B, I think your comments accurately reflect the attitude of much of restaurant management. But, like BK, I'm afraid I personally have been subjected to far too much rude "this is the way we do business" customer-service-is-lost behavior over the years to have much tolerance left. When I dine I don't want to feel rushed; I want to enjoy my meal. A business--any business--can tally sales, but it's next to impossible to quantify how much business is lost due to poor customer service. some businesses spend a great deal of money in advertising to attract customers, yet one employee with an attitude can chase even a long-standing customer away.

End of rant. Sorry. Poor customer service happens to be one of my pet peeves. I'll stop.

Although I did watch a couple of other things tonight, I spent most of the evening again with Marlo Thomas as THAT GIRL.

Amazing the number of character actors who pass through these shows over the course of a season. Just off the top of my head there have been Stuart Margolin, Jesse White, Dick Wesson, Jules Munchin, Larry Storch, Bernie Kopell, Penny Marshall (for about two seconds), Hope Summers, Benay Venuta, Vic Tayback, and so many more. It's one of the real pleasure watching a forty year old show to see these people, some of whom hadn't hit it big yet, and some of whom had already had their biggest moments of glory behind them.
