Thanks to DRs Cillaliz and Singdaw for the vibes left here last night/early this morning.

It's the least we can do, DR Ginny, given what you and your family are going through!

What other DRs are members of Actors Equity?  I know Ben is.  I assume bk is.  Jason soon will be.  JRand57 is well on his way.  Who am I missing?

Q for new AEA member DR Jason, who said:

Quote
I screwed up the lyrics and ultimately broke one of the cardinal rules of auditioning - I got flustered and stopped the song and re-started.

Who's responsible for convincing you that stopping and re-starting breaks a cardinal rule?  Or an oriole rule, for that matter?

Congratulations, btw

Today, we interrupt the wonderful creative momentum of our rehearsals to appear in a NYMF press event.  I hope Fourth Estate DRs are planning to stop by in about an hour.

Ny-Quil did come to the rescue.  My head hit the pillow just after midnight and that was that.  I don't think I woke up once during the evening, a first for this trip.  I inner clock got me up just before eight.  I think one more night like that will do wonders.  And while I'm groggy, I can tell I feel better, if only for having gotten a good night's sleep.  I think I'll still be coughing today and my voice is shot, but I think by Friday I'll be okay.

As far as I'm concerned, Ny-Quil is a miracle drug. It has come to my rescue SO many times. It always knocks me out and provides cold/flu symptom relief. I used to swear by Comtrex, but it in the last decade, Ny-Quil is my drug of choice when I start to feel like a cold or the flu is coming on.

Good morning!

My heart did a giant leap when I saw in the newspaper weather forecast that the low Sunday morning is going to be 56! Can it be? Can this sweltering, miserable summer really be coming to an end? Please, please, please!

The season finale of RESCUE ME is tonight, but I'll be DVDing and DVRing until it comes on. I have nothing in particular picked out other than ROCKY BALBOA on Blu-ray which I'm guessing I'll get to this afternoon.

And I'm VERY disappointed I haven't gotten the Amazon shipping notice for BONES yet. Don't know what the hold-up on it is.

He loves to sing-a!   :)

Makes me think of the Marx Brothers (talk about silly movie quotes!):

Judge: That sort of testimony we can eliminate.
Chicolini: Atsa fine. I'll take some.
Judge: You'll take what?
Chicolini: Eliminate. A nice'a glass of eliminate.

Now one for you musical types:

Lady: What's that?
Groucho: Sounds like mice to me.
Lady: Mice? Mice don't play music.
Groucho: No? How about the old maestro?

One for bk:

Groucho: I could dance with you until the cows come home. On second thought, I'd rather dance with the cows til you come home.

One more to make it a mini-frenzy for Mr. P:

Lady: All of us?
Groucho: All of us.
Lady: Why, that's bigamy!
Groucho: Yes, and it's big of me, too.

DR Jason ~ Bing said to tell you "Ba-ba-ba-boo, that's my boy!" and then a button popped off his jacket -- and then Esther's bathing cap popped off her head as she did a jig before diving into the pool.

Needless to say, but I will any way, they were excited for you.

And of course DR MISS KAREN, there is the "You Bet Your Life" quip that was never aired:

Lady:  I have seven children.

Groucho:  Seven children....my goodness.

Lady:  Yes, I love my husband.

Groucho:  Well I love my cigar, too, but I take it out of my mouth now and then.

Next week is the release date of that double feature MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS and ANNE OF THE THOUSAND DAYS. I have ANNE on laserdisc and watched it not too long ago (with great pleasure). I haven't seen MARY in many years and am really looking forward to revisiting it again.
