It wasn't as much as a train wreck as I had feared it would be. Since they are kids, the folks are pretty forgiving. But first-time visitors ..... maybe not.

Sunday evening greetings. Today was a first for me - I was served communion by my DH Richard. He's now an official assistant at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Cincinnati and has had quite a bit of responsibility as the priest has been away (state-side) with the Indiana National Guard.

We're now in full throttle prep for tomorrow's services for Harriet. There's a private committal service at the cemetery chapel in the morning and then the memorial service at the church at 1pm. Family members will be here in-between for lunch and then our house will be open for anyone who wants to be here after that. We've received a few food items, but we, the brothers, and some extended family are doing most of it.

Well, DR Ginny, you will be quite busy over the next 24 hours. Hope that they provide all with some sense of closure, though of course there will be a lot of emotions to deal with more fully as time moves on.

Callie was much better this morning and was waiting at the door of her room to go explore the rest of the house. She's still quite weak, but has eaten a little here and there and spent most of the day with Boo and I in the living room. The rest of the time she's been hiding in a place I haven't located yet. She'll come out at some point.
