I have had 2 conversations on the telephone in Spanish today. They could have gone better, but I think they understood what I was saying. If one of them did she will show up with an interpreter tomorrow afternoon. Since I scheduled her twice and there have been problems, I'm letting her get her own interpreter this time.

Time to go home and do laundry and clean in preparation for leaving town.  I have a very busy day scheduled here tomorrow.  That's a good thing.

I'm starving.  I'll be heading over to the Brooklyn Diner in about twenty minutes and I'm going to eat large.  Maybe even some shared coconut cake.

And then it's Elvis in Viva Las Vegas - Ann-Margret, too!  And George Sidney.

I've just learned that the conductor for this Plaza Hotel orchestration I'm doing is Paul Gemignani

Ann-Margret gets to sing "Appreciation" which Is missing from the Soundtrack (I think).

Glad to hear about the BRAIN FROM PLANET X performance with sound this afternoon.  Maybe by the next one you will have ALL sound AND lights.

Now I want coconut cake.

I shall watch NCIS and THE REAPER tonight.  No Ann-Margret for me.

Oooooohhh....WONDERFUL photo, Kerry!  "The Egyptian" is probably my favorite mid-50s "spectacle" and I'd have LOVED seeing it in this theater!

DR TCB thanks for sharing the STORM story.  Wow!

For a few years we also had a Jerry Lewis Cinema (now a car repair/sales place using the same building)....that was run by ONE person who sold the tickets and refreshments, and did everything else.  The projector was run by electronics, I think....another human job that has disappeared.

I can not decide what to have for dinner.  I am doing my laundry, so tomorrow I can run around after work and pick up cat food, various sundries I need etc.

I think it was expensive for what it was, but I got to do it in my office and it was on a topic I need right now, so that was cool.

I did record last night's JOURNEYMAN but not CHUCK.  IF they repeat the first show i may try it. But I have DANCING WITH THE STARS on already at that time.

We watched a bit of CHUCK last night.  Keith has very little staying power if he doesn't enjoy a show within the first ten minutes.  We lasted about 20 before he groaned so loudly I turned it off.  It might have improved  ???.  If it becomes a hit maybe we will check it out again.

A co-worker of mine also said something similar.  At lunch, I gently prodded him to learn at which point he'd left the show.  He said it was too slow and repetitive (??????) but that he'd switched over to "Dancing With the Stars" about 15 minutes in....BUT, he said he later switched back and watched the last 30 minutes and that it had gotten much better.   I filled him in on what he'd missed, and  I brought up certain scenes he'd seen,  and he started laughing aloud at the memory of them.  Turns out, he liked it a whole lot better than he'd thought.  Now he can't wait until next week's episode.
