I'm sorry DR Tomovoz left before I had a chance to ask him how his visit with his father went.

San Francisco has no claims to iniquity. Perhaps, but antiquity, maybe? Or persnickety?

I'm not making this stuff up! The U.S. Air Force won the Ig Nobel Peace Prize this year for its proposal to develop a "gay bomb" -- a chemical weapon that would make enemy soldiers want to make love with each other, not war with the enemy.

Good morning, all! I have little to report. At 9 am I shall hit Tekserve and procure for myself a new iMac. After that, a stop at Toyland and then a trek to the NYPL. Hopefully, the computer will be delivered in the late afternoon, and I can putter about the apartment till it arrives.
I have no writing work at the moment so I may begin work on the piec I want to write in my dad's memory.
I don't know if it was the LAW & ORDER: CI episode with the actor I once knew but I had very strange dreams: a rehearsal of CANDIDE and a strange situation involving an orchestration of a Leonard Bernsten piece, back to work at The Drama Book Shop and dealing with a huge pile of shipping problems andf orders that had piled up since I'd been away.
TOD: DVD: COUNT DRACULA (Louis Jourdain), KNOCKED UP CD: Opera mood: HANSEL & GRETEL, ERNANI VCR: Nothing with plumbers

Good morning, gentlemen. And I use that term loosely.

TOD:
DVD - The Ultimate Sci Fi Collection Volume 2, discussed here a few weeks ago. Nothing really exciting, but some okay stuff. DR CYCLOPS looked very good Technicolor-wise. LAND UNKNOWN was pretty boring. THE DEADLY MANTIS had lots of stock footage, but a pretty neat looking monster. CULT OF THE COBRA was talky and set bound....and the sets weren't so hot....New York apartments, bowling alleys, and theatres, designed by someone who had obviously never been in a New York apartment, bowling alley, or theatre.
