Good Morning!...

And since I apparently have just spent the past hour or two asleep in the living room sitting in the big comfy chair with my laptop on my lap...

Goodnight.

I've finally caught up with all of yesterday's posts!  I went to work for a few hours and afterwards, my niece and went to Trader Joe's in Federal Way (about 45 miles north of us).  On the way through Tacoma, we saw the smoke from the Atlas Foundry fire and people on the opposite of the freeway watching what was going on.  From the car, we couldn't see anything except the smoke...and there was a lot.  The traffic going north was not a problem at all, but later in the evening, going south was very slow around there.  But, it was only about a 10 or 15 minute slow-down.  After that, fast as ususal. :)

Thanks, DR FJL.  Most of the material I've seen says 4:30, but my e-ticket says 4:00.   :-\

DR François - thanks for the links!

I haven't been to Trader Joe's in several weeks.  I got some greek style yogurt (two 6-ounce containers of vanilla bean flavor and two 32-ounce containers that are plain...the vanilla is good...haven't had the plain, yet), two bottles of sparkling blueberry juice, two 1.5 litre bottles of Figi water (I just love the bottles :)), some mini chocolate peanut butter cups (one serving is 210 calories, but 27...yes, 27 pieces! they're small, but very good), some chocolate covered cherries and a few other things that I can't remember.  I also got some stuff for my sister and my friend, Margo (I was on the phone with her for almost a half hour at the store).  A good time was had by all. :D

Hello from Montreal.

Visiting family on this Canadian Thanksgiving Day Weekend. I didn't realize it was this weekend. I remembered it being the second weekend of the month. Oh well.

It is also the weekend for the Black & Blue Party, which I heard about on CBC radio. It is a gathering of gay men who enjoy the leather lifestyle. Which I guess explains all the men I saw in the custom's lineup at the Montreal airport.

Friday had some fine weather, but Saturday and Today (so far) has been damp with occasional rain.

The high point of my trip has been drinking a Gibeau Orange Julep. They are celebrating their 75th Anniversary. It must be the last of the drive-in restaurants in the Montreal area and the last of the architectural thematic designed restaurants. Having a julep is one of my last connections to my youth. All other places are gone and are just a memory.

Below is a picture of the big orange.

Good morning, all!  I'm treading cautiously but making plans to head to Toyland for a few hours of work.  Beyond that, I have nothing to report.

Sunday morning greetings!  Today's the day DH Richard and I bid farewell to NYC  :'(  He's gone to church, but I thought it would be best to stay away from the incense, which makes me cough even when I don't have a cold.  I must pack, but not before another cup of coffee or 2.

Great news that the Brain and Starfighter CDs are getting a sales bump from NYMF.  Our friends Doug & Jon were very pleased when we presented them with a Brain CD at dinner the other night.  Thanks, DR Elmore, for helping make that possible!

Good morning!

Slightly cooler this morning, but we're ehading toward a high near 90 today and tomorrow, so I'm trying to cool the house down so I can close everything up by noon and not have to turn on the A/C. That's the plan, anyway.

I spent some time this morning listening to the audio commentary for the two hour MEDIUM season premiere. The first hour with creator/writer Glen Gordon Caron was very dull with lots of silence; the second hour which features the co-writer and director of the episode is much livelier and more interesting.

This afternoon will once again be devoted almost entirely to MEDIUM. I'll be starting disc 2 in the 6-disc set. Would love to get discs 2 and 3 finished today.

Tonight, of course, are DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, BROTHERS & SISTERS, COLD CASE, and DEXTER on the agenda. Will watch the two ABC shows and have the DVR pick up the others.
