OK - favoirite hallowe'en, hands down it was two years ago in Lahaina, Maui. a zillion people decked out - I mean REALLY decked out, and teams of lotsa people doing theme stuff - great Book People - like the Tea party Scene from Alice in Wonderland, about 25 or 30 people doing a whole Library of greatest books, including the actual giant BOOKS, themselves... oh, my! I was a Fairy, all in pink, my silver hair was about an inch long, I had gi-normous double gossamer wings, all bejewled with glitz. Heaven, I tell ya'. I walked about with a Wizard, my good friend Bill.

Refrigerator magnets and comics are as impractical as the framed photos in a hallway when one is maneuveirng about on wheels. walkers,  crutches or any device more than one's own two legs/feet!

Some good wake-up news for Cillaliz:

If Callie was going to have an enema reaction, it would be over and done with:

PET EDUCATIONder Brucer

Thanks Der Brucer, I also had an email from a new veteranarian friend who told me that at this point any effects would be short term.

I decided to call the old vet and ask him about it.   I left a message just asking him to call and he did.  He was very nice.  He said that they haven't been giving dogs or cats phosphate ememas for a long time so the chart must be wrong.   Honestly, I believe him. I can't imagine that clinic making that mistake and I think it's his handwriting.   He's a cat doctor, so...

Anyway, he said the vet I'm planning to go to is very good.  He's been out of vet school about 25 years and his young associate is a fairly new grad so it's a good mix of experience and new info.

I was able to explain that it wasn't his treatment that made me leave but his staff.  He said he understood and that sometimes other vets have other ideas.   It was actually a really good conversation and we talked about Callie's problems. He was shocked to hear we had gone from one extreme to the other and thought it was a good sign that we could maybe get her regulated again.  I discussed what I'm doing and he wanted to know what the new vet had done and said he thought things sounded good.

I'm glad he called.

News is in - we are premiering a song from Enchanted.  It's very cute, very short, and Miss Juliana Hansen is flying herself in to sing it.

Yippee!

I'm so very pleased you had the conversations you wanted with him.

I also talked to the new vet today. Last night Callie was acting like her stomach was bothering her.  She also didn't want me to come near her and she was hiding. I decided she needed a break from all her meds to let her stomach settle down a bit.   So I didn't give her any last night or this morning.  I called and made an appointment for tomorrow with the new vet and he thought it would be fine to stop her meds until then.

When I went home for lunch she was almost playing, she was watching a neighbor cat out the window with much interest and finally noticed the bird feeder I hung over the weekend.  She let me pet her and she purred and purred.   Between the 2 conversations and my trip home for lunch I'm finally exhaling about that situation.

Of course my appointment is 8:15 AM about 10 miles from my house so I'll have to get up early, but that's cool. I'll make it to work in plenty of time for my first appointment.
