Okay, if that is okay. I have been fighting and I have tried every trick in the book.

In the other bit of video, do not ask me to explain sylvester mccoy's coat... It is interesting to say the least...

Now you've got me intrigued!

But now I have 5 bags of candy to deal with.

I tried to find candy that my DH would like and I wouldn't, (Peanut MM's, Kit-Kats, etc.) but I discovered that there are very few types of candy that were availabled that I wouldn't like.

Oh dear...

You could take them to the public library and offer them to the Librarian in charge of the derelicts' lounge.

I have finally decided to try and use ITunes. I found a CD to purchase, but everytime I try to purchase it I get a message to upgrage to Itunes 7.2. When I click on the upgrade I get a page that "no longer exits."

Ok. Well, that is not helpful, and there seems to be no way to bypass this request to upgrade...even though it won't upgrade.

And if I buy an album on ITunes, am I actually buying a CD that will be shipped to me? Or am I just purchasing a download?

It shows a nice CD on the screen, but I am not really sure of what I am doing...I just know I want the album...one way or the other.

...OMG the girl is playing with toys, jumping in the air and reliving her kittyhood.

Perhaps a testimony to the salubrious effects of a high-colonic on cats?

Perhaps the happiest news I have ever been able to share with you.... from Sarah's  Daddy

"FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST, THANK GOD ALMIGHTY SHE IS FREE AT LAST!!!! yes it's true, the miracle we have been asking for has come. as of last Wednesday 10/24's scans , Sarah is cancer free. the best pictures i've ever seen was that of a healthy nasopharynx. the radiologist called what she saw a "wonderous recovery." we still have to be cautiously optimistic since there is always the chance that the cancer could come back. the results of the scans are being sent to dana farber in boston for another opinion, but all of Sarah's doctors feel that it's gone for good. she will continue to be monitored on a regular basis for the next several years, so please remain keeping her in your prayers."

I knew I would be out at work when the majority of trick or treaters would come so as I havedone for many years I left a "cauldron" of candy on teh front porch with a  sign that read

Happy Halloween!  Please be kind and only take one!

Today when I came home my sign was in my bush and my cauldron was missing

Ah well at least our three pumpkins are still intact

For people with left over candy...

My church takes left over candy and distributes it to the area  homeless and also the homeless in NYC   (We have a group of ladies who weekly distribute bags with a sandwich, some drink, some fruit and a clean pair of socks, they add the candy to this bag)

Perhaps one of your local churches or food pantries have a similar program and would be happy to take it off your hands

What wonderful news Deb. (Not about the Cauldron).

As it happens I was just speaking with OzDerek's sister about life's gifts and our gift's from the lives of others.

Ron - I think I've worked with your clones of coworker at various stages in my life!

I finally discovered the best thing to do when The Delegator  came up with another great plan for which she would get the credit while I would do the work and or lay out the bucks was to say

"Gosh what a great idea, let me know how it works out!"
and walk away, or if I was at my desk  I would then pick up the phone and make a work related call forcing her to leave

and if further pressed to take on the task
"I am so sorry I couldn't possibly fit that into my schedule at this time, maybe next year....."

of course this is assuming that you and the Delegator are  business "equals"... I have no clue as to how to handle  "requests" of this nature from one higher in the chain of command.....

Well the cauldron was a small plastic thing that cost me maybe a buck fifty....so I am not going to break my heart over its loss, I am just saddened for the kids who came and thought I forgot about them this year

We love Halloween, we turn our front garden into a  grave yard, Vixdad hooks up his fog machine so the fog rolls gently around the gravestones, we  have a Halloween arch on at the the gate and gargoyles  on the fence, skulls on the porch posts....

this year I didn't get home until gone 7 and I had only one lone trick or treater just after I got home

I bought a big bag of 150 candies and put about half out in the cauldron before I left for work so I still have about 65 left... (well I HAD to test a couple of Butterfingers to see of they were ok and the Reeses peanut buttercups were just SITTING there..............

OLD OAKLAND TRAIN STATION

California. This Beaux Arts monster was built in 1917 servicing the East Bay streetcar network as well as the trains that crossed the Bay Bridge. Damaged in the 1989 earthquake and subsequently closed, restoration plans to convert it into high end condos still exist, but are stalled. Shot on a rainy night in October 2005.

DBF is not the best with the camera but he at least got the top part of my costume. I did have on a denim miniskirt (Vintage) with a petticoat, dark tights, white bobby socks and skimmers (shoes)

It drew a few looks. THe batteries were fading when he took the second picture but I included it to get an idea of the front.. Yes, vintage 1980s... The jacket, blouse, necklace are vintage 80s.  The Jean jacket is also vintage from the late 80s, early 1990s

My chicken noodle soup is FABULOUS.  Many single-serving containers are now in the freezer, along with at least three helpings in the refrigerator.

I had no trick-or-treaters, as usual.  Of course, when one lives in a secure building...and one in which there are no small children...well...
