Well, you've read the notes, the notes were animalistic and fried, and now it is time for you to post until the fried cows come home.

BK:

Will the fact that the Chance Theatre's "Brain" production will run in repertory affect your decision whether or not to direct?

Questions for BK:

I don't remember if you've specified this, but is Cindy Williams only doing the intro to the event or will she also sing a song?

Also, will anyone sing "No Time At All" from Pippin?  If so, who?  If you can say.

Well, I need to get to sleep.  I was asked to dress up today at work so that a co-worker (Jamie) wouldn't be the only on in our department who has dressed up.  She (Jamie) wouldn't say what she was going to wear, but I found my waiter vest and a black tie that I wore in "Taming of the Shrew," so I'll be a waiter. ::) I still have my drag-queen Indian dress from last year's Cannibal! The Musical!, but I'm not brave enough to wear it to work. ;)

CBS pumps new blood into 'Moonlight'

Quote
The network's entertainment president stands by 'Moonlight' as it transmogrifies.

By Maria Elena Fernandez, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
October 31, 2007

"Oh, I love my vampire!" CBS President of Entertainment Nina Tassler said recently, beginning a conversation about her network's new drama, "Moonlight."

Clearly, she must. No other TV show this fall has experienced as much turbulence as "Moonlight." But through all of the changes in the executive producing ranks, the cast and the show's framework, CBS hasn't budged in its support, scheduling it in between its reliable Friday-night fare, "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numb3rs."

Other networks might have postponed the series or decided not to air it, but Tassler, who says she's always had "affection for the vampire character" and admits she was "smitten" by star Alex O'Loughlin the first time she met him, remains steadfast.

"You have to remember that this is under the auspices of Joel Silver and we've got a lot riding on Joel," Tassler said. "As you continue to work on a show, if I still feel inspired, and I feel they are making exciting choices, then our enthusiasm remains. This is not a perfect science. It's an evolutionary process."

In a fall season marked by uncertainty because of a looming writers' strike and the impact of DVR viewing on ratings, that strategy might pay off.

Although CBS has not picked up a full season of episodes, Tassler ordered four more scripts last week.

IS BRITNEY SPEARS intent on causing controversy?

Promotional pictures for her new album Blackout have just been released featuring one image of her straddling a priest in a confession booth.

The shots are bound to cause outrage from a public already bemused by her odd behaviour over the past year.

Catholics slam Britney Spears pix as 'bottom of barrel' stunt

LOS ANGELES - Kinky photos of a half-naked Britney Spears perched on a priest's lap and leaning seductively against a church confessional sparked outrage among Catholic leaders.

At least one said the saucy snapshots, which grace the singer's thumping new dance album, "Blackout," are a "bottom of the barrel" stunt from a girl who really could use some quality time spent repenting sins in a wooden cubicle.

Dr Singalong,

Back in my not yet fully wasted youth (1959-1960), I was very find of an "alternative" Anglican Folk Mass recording (black cover LP). The accompaniment was mainly guitar, drum, and keyboard, but the singing although modern and innovative, was quite inspirational - I've never been able to find a copy of same.

Have you ever heard of such a critter?

END OF AN ERA!

ASSOCIATED PRESS

Quote
SAN FRANCISCO OFFICIALS WANT TO SHUT DOWN HALLOWEEN STREET PARTY

SAN FRANCISCO —  City officials want the hundreds of thousands of people who usually flock to an annual Halloween street party here to stay home or go elsewhere after several episodes of violence in recent years.

Officials have advised would-be revelers through fliers, public service announcements and juvenile probation officers that they won't find many treats in the Castro District, home in past years to the largest Halloween happening in the San Francisco Bay area.

What they will find are hundreds of extra police officers, shuttered restaurants, stepped up sobriety checks and no bus or train service after 8:30 p.m.

"This is really a public safety decision," said Supervisor Bevan Dufty, who represents the Castro and spent the better part of a year trying to arrange an alternative city-sanctioned gathering. "I'm disappointed my message is one of, 'Please don't come."'

The festivities started decades ago as a homegrown celebration for San Francisco's gay and lesbian community, but has drawn a scarier element in recent years. In 2002, five people were stabbed. Three years ago, someone wandered the crowds wielding a chain saw.

...

That used to be the "gayest' time of all!

Soon after I started living alone, I escaped with dome friends for a Halloween weekend in San Franciso.

Before I left I had a list of "Things I've Never Tried".

When I returned the list was ever so much shorter.

Now it's a list of things I don't think I'll do again.

Good morning, all! I'm feeling better and now I'm wondering if all this illness hasn't been carbon monoxide poisoning.  When I rushed in from the barber yesterday morning, the entire apartment smelled of gas but I had other personal concerns at the time.  Three hours later, a post lady brought me a package and I asked her if the building smelled odd.  She said she thought it was gas. I also noticed that I could hear several carbon monoxide alarms going off, so I called 911 and within 10 minutes five firemen showed up to check out the building.  At that point I noticed my Roumanian super had posted by the elevator a note that was not posted at 10:30: "Boylar is out No heat today." Later a similar sign was posted on the front door to the building with the additional info "because of gas leak."

Perhaps my landlord's been poisoning me?

DR DerBrucer, I am indeed aware of earlier DVDs of DIVA because I have always been a rather good researcher.   I believe my inquiry  was whether or not anyone knew of a recent, as in new 2007, release since i've seen at least two reviews of the DVD in the past week in different magazines.

Today, I may try to get to Toyland and the NYPL.  The jury is still out on my healthiness this morning.

Do the Macbeths have his number?

I hear Monkey Cake is a good counter for carbon monoxide exposure.
