Notes are written, and I'm going to try and post them at eleven and go to bed.  We'll see how successful I am.

I got back from rehearsal about a half hour ago and my DVR DID NOT RECORD "DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES" OR "BROTHERS & SISTERS"!! :o It was as if it wasn't set at all, but it's supposed to record the whole season.  I came home just in time to watch "B&S," so that's okay, but I'll have to wait until it's available on-line. :-\

DR GEORGE - I thought the MAD Tv premiere was a bit flat, and they certainly are light on the GUY side - sorry that Ike Barenholtz is gone.

I agree.  He was very funny.

And now I have finished the book, too.  Really enjoyed it...great fun.

And I didn't see the outcome until it was revealed!   :D

bk, doesn't it drive you crazy to work on a book for the better part of a year and to then see it devoured in a few hours?  Sort of like Thanksgiving dinner, but on a grander scale...

This sort of reminds me of a commercial for 7-11 movie rentals from several years ago.  A guy walks up to the check-out counter with his movie choice and the guy behind the counter say, "This movie costs $44 million to make...and you get it for 99¢."

I have been watching BRIDEZILLA - and appreciating my sisters and nieces even more than I ever did...and that's a lot.

How many brothers and sisters does everyone have?

I have four brothers and three sisters!

Michael, [Jack], Paula, Myrna, Dane, Kent, David, and Molly

I have one older sister...and she's been married, but hasn't been since 1988.  I don't think that she'll get married again. ::)

And speaking of my youngest brother, Jay...

He finished the ING New York City Marathon in about 4 hours and 20 minutes!

Needless to say, I am very proud of him.  And of all the runners who completed the race today....

Congratulations to Jose's Marathoning Brother, Jay! :D

Oh so petty
I feel petty and sweaty and gross

Would be useful if I get verbose

Now that parody made no sense

So, you have an older sister -- I've got an older brother, who is a pain in the assets.

I've been finding lots of old tv shows online -- mostly from the 80's.  However, I did find a couple of episodes of the Lone Gunmen -- which I thoroughly enjoyed the second time around.

One thing that was shared at today's meeting were a set of Commandments that Thommie Walsh had delivered to the graduating class of Auburn (NY) High School, his hometown alma mater.  And now I share them with you:

Quote

1.  People are unreasonable, illogical and self centered.
      LOVE THEM ANYWAY!

2.  If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
      DO GOOD ANYWAY!

3.  If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
      SUCCEED ANYWAY!

4.  The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
      DO GOOD ANYWAY!

5.  Honesty and frankness makes you vulnerable.
      BE HONEST AND FRANK ANYWAY!

6.  The biggest men with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men with the smallest minds.
      THINK BIG ANYWAY!

7.  People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
      FIGHT FOR SOME UNDERDOGS ANYWAY!

8.  What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
      BUILD ANYWAY!

9.  People really need help but may attack you if you help them.
      HELP PEOPLE ANYWAY!

10. Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
GIVE THE WORLD THE BEST YOU'VE GOT ANYWAY!

            BELIEVE IN YOURSELVES!
                  ALWAYS.
                          THOMMIE WALSH

Definitely words to live by!  Thanks for posting them :)

My sister loved this show.  I bought her the complete series on DVD for Christmas one year.  I didn't get to watch enough episodes to develop an affection for it, but I loved them on The X-Files. :D

I don't think I will ever buy an HDTV unless I can afford someone to install and calibrate it for me.

I would charge you the same fee that I have charged everyone else I've helped with this: zip!

Now...negotiations for the travel, room and board are another thing. ;)
